Boost Behavioral Services 85-2498658 | Government Grant Application

Boost Behavioral Services | Application Preview

Boost Behavioral Services is seeking government grants to expand its operations by purchasing farmland, building a larger facility, and establishing a clinic that offers Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services alongside an inclusive preschool. The farmland will support crop growth and small livestock.

In the next five years, Boost plans to diversify its offerings by introducing full-day preschool, day camps, after-school programs, and beginner gymnastics classes. Additionally, the company aims to participate in farmers markets to provide vocational training for older individuals with special needs and broaden insurance acceptance, particularly for lower-paying plans like Medicaid.

The rationale for funding approval emphasizes Boost's commitment to community improvement, highlighting its dedication to quality care for individuals with autism and their families. The organization combines expertise in ABA therapy, education, and agriculture, and seeks to increase its impact through grant support.

Competitive analysis reveals three primary competitors: Bright Light Behavioral and Developmental, Savvy Apple Preschool, and Hobbit Hill Preschool, each providing various services for children with different learning needs. Boost's competitive edge stems from its founders’ commitment to implementing evidence-based practices and providing superior training, ensuring families receive exemplary care that addresses their needs effectively.

  • Funding Usage

I plan to use the funds to buy farm land, build a larger facility and furnish the building. The building will include a clinic for our company to continue providing ABA services and an inclusive preschool. The farm land will be used to grow crops and house some small livestock.

  • Business Plan

In the next 5 years I plan to expand Boost by providing additional services to include full day preschool, day camps, after school camps, beginner gymnastic classes, participating in farmers markets as a way to teach some vocational skills to older individuals with special needs and offer touring services. I would also like to expand the business by accepting more insurances for ABA. We currently cannot afford to take on lower paying Insurances. As we increase our services, this will create additional income for the company and allow us to provide access to ABA therapy to families with lower paying insurance specifically Medicaid. Investors should invest in Boost because we are a driven company dedicated to making a positive difference in the community. Our company provides quality care to individuals with autism and their families by strengthening relationships between parents and their children. Our company has the expertise in Applied Behavioral Analysis, the gold standard for autism therapy, child development, education, agriculture and relationship building. With your investment, you will pave the way for our company to expand it's outreach and change more people's lives for the better.

  • Self Identified Competition

    1. Bright Light Behavioral and Developmental is an ABA clinic located in Bluffton, SC and in Effingham, GA. They serve children diagnosed with Autism and focus on increasing communication, social and adaptive skills. Bright Light provides one on one therapy in their clinics. 2. Savvy Apple Preschool is located in Beaufort, SC. They provide a blended methods program for children ages 12 months to 5 years. Savvy Apple offers full day, half day and after school care. Families generally get enrolled at Savvy Apple as soon as 12 months old and they do not leave the program until they are 5 years old. Savvy Apple has a very good reputation in the area and has about a 1-2 year waiting list. Savvy Apple provides organic meals to their students. They have a large outside area which allows for kids to get ample time outside. Tuition for Savvy Apple rages from $70-$190 a week. 3. Hobbit Hill Preschool has 2 locations in Beaufort, SC. They are an early childhood education and care facility. They accept children age 1-5 years old. Hobbit Hill is currently on a 1 year waiting list. I started Boost because I have worked at many ABA companies in the area and did not feel the families were getting adequate care. As an employee, I continued my research in the science and presented better methods of treatment to my bosses. I was always shut down. Once I was able to implement these better practices at my own company, I saw the results that I had read about in the literature. Our company relies heavily on evidenced based practices and the behavior changes we see daily is truly amazing. Our company has grown slowly and responsibly. We are fortunate enough to have a team of like minded individuals who each have their unique strengths. Boost is different from our competitors because we stay on top of the field's research and provide quality training for our employees. We have the expertise to include individuals with special needs in a space with their typically developing peers.
