Nashville Hot Jobs LLC is seeking government grants to support the launch of an innovative outdoor pet product, which is distinct from what is currently available in the market. With proof of concept, a virtual prototype, and pending patents, the company aims to establish an online store for innovative pet and camping products. They also plan to create an open innovation platform on their website, inviting other inventors in the pet and camping sectors to bring their ideas to market, thereby generating new jobs and sales.
The business strategy originated from three inventions developed through an inventor's class, where the founder shifted from licensing ideas to self-manufacturing them, emphasizing innovation in pet and camping gear. Recognizing the challenges that aspiring inventors face in licensing, the company intends to support students by offering them a platform to pitch ideas, with the potential for licensing deals to produce additional products aligned with the company's offerings. The goal is to add three new products each year, aimed at generating one million dollars in sales annually over the next five years.
The founder, who holds an MBA and has experience in a Fortune 50 company, believes that their knowledge of business operations and ownership of valuable intellectual property will enable success. They intend to leverage a direct-to-consumer model to enhance profitability. While they perceive competition mainly from the unauthorized market once their products are released, their ownership of the intellectual property offers a significant competitive advantage.

Funding Usage
We have developed an innovative outdoor pet product. Nothing like anything that has been on the market before. We have proof of concept, virtual prototype, patent pending status, and we own all intellectual property. With this first product, we plan to open our online store of innovative pet and camping products. We have two more inventions in the initial development stage that we will manufacturer after this initial first product. Along with this, our website will be an open innovation platform. Where we will open up to other inventors in the pet and camping space, and help them bring their concept to the market and sell on our website. This will constantly create new jobs and sales for years to come.

Business Plan
This business plan stemmed from three inventions. I went through an invention class with my first idea. That idea got me all the way to the licensing stage. I then came up with two more innovative ideas. And decided instead of licensing to a company, I wanted to manufacture and produce them all on my own, building a company around innovative pet and camping products. I realized though that it was not realistic to think that one person could continuously come up with a steady flow of innovative inventions for coming years. Because of that, I will pair the business plan with the class that I graduated from. In which students regularly do not strike licensing deals with companies, even though they have great ideas. They just have a hard time reaching the right person or hearing back from the companies. So I will be a resource for students to openly pitch ideas too. And if the ideas fit our business' line of offerings, our business will give them a licensing deal and we will begin the manufacturing process ourselves. Our goal is to add three (3) products that have one million dollars in potential sales every year, for the next 5 years. I have an MBA. I work for a fortune 50 company. I know how to run a business. And I now have 3 incredibly valuable pieces of intellectual property that I own and can turn into revenue. I am not starting an online store and selling other people's products. I own everything about the process. And the direct to consumer model will maximize profits.

Self Identified Competition
I really only have one competitor. You could say the big box stores, but again, they won't have the rights to my intellectual property I have unless I sell to the wholesale. Which I plan to explore. So my top competitor will be the knock off market once I release my products. There are processes in place for that, but it will be unfortunate when it happens. As I stated in the Top 3 Competitors question, what differentiates me is that I own the intellectual property to the products I will be selling. And that is valuable.
