  • Funding Usage

I will use the money for rent, educational classes, products, and marketing so I can focus solely on perfecting my craft and expanding my business and its clients.

  • Business Plan

In the next five years, I plan to grow my skills so that I can create connections with successful artists in my cosmetology field. It will allow me to have greater exposure and create a difference in the world of self-image and confidence. I plan to use these connections for the expansion of salons and hire employees. I will educate the employees. They will learn unique hairstyles, makeup, and artistic creations I have obtained throughout my career. My goal is to have three salon spaces in the next 5-7 years. I also would like to create an all-natural hair care line as I understand the importance of healthy hairstyles without chemical reliance and imbalances. I have a consistent track record of growth in a monthly income as well as in the skill of my trade field since my business started. I am not afraid of the hard work involved in growth. Traditionally my family has displayed a phenomenal work ethic, shaping me to be unafraid to pursue my goals and to put the work into my accomplishment.

  • Self Identified Competition

There are a few hairstylists who take care of some of my clients when I am unavailable, or they offer a different service than I do. At this stage, as a startup business, I do not have much competition as I am still building. It is why it is essential to market and to take other actions to attract new customers. If I am given the grant, I will be positioning myself effectively to attract new clients. I strive for a personal connection with all my clients. I put in the effort to check up on every one of them and their needs. I am different in that I leaped with faith without letting fears getting in the way of starting a business. Most of my educational peers didn't have an end goal and were uncertain of where they were going in this career field. They also were unsure of how to make money in this career field without having to rely on a steady paycheck. The peers that did rely on a fixed paycheck settled for a capped income. I was not afraid of obstacles in the way of exceeding my goals.
