Conceal and Protect | Application Preview
Conceal and Protect is requesting government grant funding to support their training programs focused on self-defense, particularly for women. The funding will be allocated for the purchase of 12 Hero 2020 mace guns, a simulator laser trainer system, instructor training for victim avoidance, classroom rental, essential training materials, and advertising efforts.
The business plan emphasizes expanding outreach through diverse advertising channels to attract more clients and incorporate additional training on situational awareness, avoidance techniques, and first aid within the next two years.
The application highlights the unique position of the business, as it is led by a woman instructor. This aspect is notable due to the predominance of male instructors in the industry. The applicant believes her perspective will resonate with women seeking self-defense training, and she points to a successful track record with satisfied clients.
While competition exists from nearby ranges with male instructors, the applicant's relationship with a local gun range allows for facility rental, providing a supportive teaching environment. The application argues that the gender perspective of the instructor offers a crucial competitive edge, addressing a significant gap in the market for women's self-defense training.

Business Plan
To advertise on more related venues so I can get more business. To start including situational awareness, avoidance, and non lethal defense as well. Also to include first aid training in the next two years or so. Being a woman instructor is not very common. I can attract women students and those who appreciate a womans perspective on personal self defense. I am a very competent and safety minded instructor. I have a very good track record with happy customers.

Self Identified Competition
Other ranges in the nearby vicinity. Mostly men instructors who are the majority of instructors Reload gun range, where I teach, has their own instructors. They are very kind to let me rent their facilities. The biggest difference is I am a woman instructor. I bring that gender perspective to this industry which is very helpful and important to many people, especially women. That perspective is still lacking BUT has improved over the years.
