Major league barbershop | Application Preview
Major League Barbershop is seeking government grants to address several key needs. The funding would be primarily used to catch up on overdue rent and utilities, upgrade the shop's interior to attract more customers, and purchase essential supplies and high-quality barber chairs.
The business plan includes remodeling the shop to create additional space for more barbers and potentially include a nail technician or esthetician, diversifying the services offered.
The owner believes that investing in the barbershop is worthwhile due to their commitment to exceptional customer service and community engagement. They emphasize their distinct approach compared to local competitors who may not prioritize client satisfaction or extend their operating hours. The owner’s dedication to quality and willingness to work late resonates with customers and encourages loyalty, providing them with a competitive edge.
In summary, the grant would support the revitalization of the barbershop, increase its appeal, and enhance its service offerings, ultimately allowing for growth and continued success in a competitive market.

Funding Usage
I would use it to get up to date on the rent and utilities. I would also like to upgrade my shop so that it can be more appealing to my customers and attract more customers as well. We also need supplies and better barber chairs so that we can continue to make money and not lose out on the customers we have.

Business Plan
I plan to remodel the shop and make the other rooms available for more business. Possibly have more barbers or even have a nail tech or esthetician. I think they should invest In me because I’m willing to go above and beyond for my clients. Anyone In our small community can tell you that I’m different from the other barbers in this town. I have a vision on how I can grow and be more successful but it’s the lack of funds holding me back
-
Self Identified Competition
They have 4 or more barbers in their shops and also their shops are I’d say more modern and appealing to people I take my time on what I do and I’m very precise. My competitors I’ve noticed close their shops early and I don’t. I’m willing to stay those extra hours if it makes my clients happy and to make new customers as well. When people see that you care, they tend to come back
