Dogkind llc G20000054762 | Government Grant Application

Dogkind llc | Application Preview

Dogkind LLC is seeking a government grant to stabilize and grow its business. The funding will be allocated to settle 2021 quarterly taxes, manage personal debt to improve creditworthiness for future business credit opportunities, and boost marketing efforts. The owner plans to enhance the company image with professional uniforms and seek accreditations from credible organizations like BBB, GBAC, and ISSA, which will also provide valuable knowledge for training their team.

The business aims to more than double its profits this year through a comprehensive marketing plan, focusing on hiring, training, and maintaining good client relationships. Historically, Dogkind LLC has earned around $72,000 annually with only two employees, but the owner has devised a strategic plan for steady growth.

The owner emphasizes the need for funding is reasonable and reflects a commitment to overcoming past mistakes without relying on loans during tough economic times. The application highlights extensive self-education efforts made to prepare for future success.

In terms of competition, the owner recognizes several established cleaning services in the area that offer both residential and commercial cleaning. However, Dogkind LLC differentiates itself by specializing solely in commercial cleaning within a focused geographical area, allowing for dedicated client attention and high-quality service. The owner is committed to implementing customer follow-ups and quality control checks to ensure complete client satisfaction, which they believe will position the company for future success.

  • Funding Usage

I did not file my quarterly taxes for all of 2021. I plan to use this money in the wisest manner I know how. First I will immediately take care of my taxes to get everything updated. Then, I will put some of that money into personal debt so that I may raise my credit score and potentially get a business credit card to earn cash back. Last, the rest of the funding will go into marketing since I now have all my sites up and ready to go. Along with marketing, I will update the look of my business so that My next hires and myself have uniforms to look extra professional while we are working. And I also plan on getting accredited with BBB, GBAC, and ISSA. These certifications will give me more knowledge to pass on to my team as well as put me ahead of my competitors.

  • Business Plan

This year with this grant, I will more than double my profits with my business marketing plan. After this years growth I will continue to invest in certifications, coaching programs and the continue to educate myself adequately to train the right people and overall scale the business. We have only been making 72,000 or less per year for the past 5 years with only 2 people. I have systemized plans for the following years to do better than its previous year with hiring, training, working with the right clients and always following up and aquiring feedback. I do not believe that I am asking for an extremely large amount of money and I pride myself that although I have made a few mistakes, I haven't taken out any loans through covid nor stopped working. I have never given up on myself and I don't plan to. I am trying to fix my mistakes before it gets worse. These last few months I have been using ALL of my free resources to gain information and learn everything I need to learn to take my business to the next level. My journey is a little more difficult than most because there is no one I can ask to borrow money. If I did, I would have done so then pay them back. I believe that I am grant-worthy.

  • Self Identified Competition

Swan Janitorial Cleaning Service- They're open until 8 pm and they clean in more than one surrounding county. They also clean residential and commercial. L & L Home and Office Cleaning Services- They have been in business for over 10 years cleaning both homes and businesses. Orchid Cleaning Services- this company seems to add vehicle cleaning as well as homes and offices. They have been in business for 3 years. South Florida has a wide range of commercial cleaning businesses but I think that competition is subjective according to what exactly you're doing. I plan to only offer commercial cleaning whereas my competitors and doing both residential and commercial. This is okay but they aren't too focused on just one area. While doing my research, I find what people need through the comment sections. We are only in one county so we can stay focused on our clientele and mainly our initial commercial growth for this year. I believe I will be at the top soon enough because customer follow-ups and quality control checkups BEFORE my cleaners leave the job site must be performed to ensure 100% client satisfaction.
