Maggy Kuhn_IHA 4852 | Government Grant Application

Maggy Kuhn_IHA | Application Preview

Maggy Kuhn's application for government grants outlines a strategic plan to enhance her business, focusing on Medicare and Medicaid services. The funds will be allocated for licensing fees, marketing tools, computer hardware, office setup, and document costs. Over the next five years, the business aims to expand its client base, hire additional agents, and establish a new office location equipped with a business vehicle for client appointments.

The request emphasizes the growing demand for Medicare services, driven by the increasing number of individuals aged 65 and older, creating an opportunity for investors as the need for trustworthy and informative assistance in navigating their healthcare options rises.

In terms of competition, Maggy's main rivals include United Health Care, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna. While these companies provide their own Medicare programs, Maggy believes her brokerage can offer lower pricing, catering to clients with limited incomes who require comprehensive health coverage.

Her competitive advantage lies in the ability to provide wholesale pricing on services and products, allowing her to meet essential health, dental, vision, and prescription needs more affordably than larger competitors. Overall, the application underscores strong growth potential in the Medicare insurance sector.

  • Business Plan

I plan to grow my business in the next 5 years by expanding my client base, hire 1-2 more agents, and expand into a separate office location along with business vehicle for appointment use only. Investors would be able to invest in my business and brokerage due to the expansion and increase in this area of Medicare Insurance needs for the 10,000 + per month increase of clients reaching the age of 65+ years in need of a reliable, informative, and integrity filled company such as mine to fulfill their Medicare/Medicaid needs of their situations and family needs as well. Growth is going to be outstanding in the next 5 to 10 years, and the demand very high for such programs to be enrolled in.

  • Self Identified Competition

My top 3 competitors would be United Health Care, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Sheild, and Aetna. These competitors are very unique in that they offer their own Medicare Supplemental and Mainstream Insurance programs, however, they cannot compete against the lower pricing that my brokerage would be able to offer many clients on limited incomes, and needing coverage for health, medical, dental, prescription, and supplemental costs that are necessary. My brokerage would be able to offer lower pricing costs to the client in the areas of medical, health, and dental/vision programs because we are able to offer more of the wholesale costs of services and products through the programs that we offer; by partnering with these competitors through their wholesale/surplus products and services rendered.
