Funding Usage
I plan on using this money to expand to a bigger building so my customers can be more comfortable and safe. We also want to have more funding for volunteer styling so we can continue giving back to our customers/community. We’d love to upgrade our gear more as well!

Business Plan
The next five years I plan to connect with other organizations that help the less fortunate: Boys & Girls Club YMCA Guadalupe Centers I want to be able to not only expand my profit and the work I do, but expand how much I give back to the organizations that help children and families. Together, I plan to help children and families with things like basic hygiene, sexuality, and adolescence all while doing what I love: styling hair. I would love for investors to understand that my first goal is to give back to my home. An investment in me will ensure that my community is put on the right path.

Self Identified Competition
I don’t really see them as competitors. I see them as just something I want to be better than. We all want to be better than the next person. Beauty Icon - they have a sense of community that I strive to maintain. Every person that walks in there comes out with a smile or a ray of excitement. Hair KCMO - professionalism is super important to me, Hair KCMO is near perfect! I’ve never met a more professional place of work. Peach Tree Salon - black owned and black environment. It’s important for minorities to feel a sense of comfort in the places they come for services. While my competitors are amazing, I strive every day to be different from them. I want to mix everything together like a potpourri of hair styling. We have a professional environment, so my customers can have confidence that what they ask for will be done. We have a light hearted environment, where my customers can tell me anything and have a joyful conversation with me. There’s also a sense of home there, no matter what color you are, you’re welcomed here.
