TIME PIZZA | Application Preview
TIME PIZZA is seeking government grants to support its pizza restaurant, which has faced challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The owner signed a lease on a restaurant location on March 3, 2020, but has been unable to open due to city closures and delays in obtaining permits. Despite this setback, the owner has been paying monthly rent of $3,925 and has invested $65,000 in equipment for the restaurant. The requested funds will be used for restaurant improvements and to hire staff.
The business plan includes expanding the current mobile food units from three to six over the next three years, with plans to open a second restaurant location within two years, each supported by three mobile units. Prior to the pandemic, the business had shown significant growth, with mobile food units selling pizza at events such as concerts and games.
The owner faces competition from established pizza shops—Pizza Wings, Angelos Pizza, and Hassim Pizza—which have stronger financial backing. However, the owner believes their competitive edge lies in the ability to serve larger crowds at events and festivals, offering lower prices that encourage higher sales volumes. The owner is dedicated to growing the business independently and is not seeking outside investment.

Funding Usage
I have rent the place to open a pizza restaurant right before Covid-19 exposed, since March 3rd, 2020. So I could not be able to open the business yet. However I start paying the rent 3925$/monthly and during this process I invested all the money(65000$) I had for the equipment for the restaurant. Restaurant could not got permission due to the closure of the City and long time for the processes of the permits. I will use this fund to improve the restaurant and hire the people to help the workforce.

Business Plan
I will extend the business as growing of my mobile food units from 3 to 6 in three years. For next 2 years I am planning to open second location with putting the 3 mobile units to each of them. Before the Covid-19, my business grew during the past years tremendously. That's why I found the place to open pizza restaurant, I rent the place ands bought all the equipments. During this pandemic my business stopped and my mobile food units shut down. I was selling pizza with my units to the bars and entertainment places such as after concerts and games. I am the sole owner and I am not looking for the investors to invest in my business. I want to grow by myself.

Self Identified Competition
Pizza wings, Angelos pizza and Hassim Pizza are my competitors. They seem to financially stronger than me, however before I started this business I did not have anything but business plan. I worked hard to get my three mobile units to get them in five years and in the middle of the opening the pizza restaurant. During this 5 years they stayed stable. I invested my hardworking money into my business. And I am in the process of opening the restaurant. I made 5 and 10 years lease with the landlord. Pizza wings, Angelos pizza and Hassim Pizza are my competitors. These stores sell to the regular customers one by one, however I sell more to the crowds using my mobile food units into the after concerts, games and festivals. They sell expensive however I sell cheaper than them. In this way I sell more and make money from more sales.
