Chicago Jerk House | Application Preview
Chicago Jerk House is seeking government grants to address unpaid bills and expenses incurred during the COVID-19 shutdown, as well as to facilitate business expansion. The business, operating for over three years, aims to grow by opening a larger location that would allow for more staff and higher seating capacity. This expansion is expected to create additional job opportunities and ultimately pave the way toward franchise development.
The owner highlights the restaurant's success, supported by positive customer feedback and strong marketing strategies. Unique to the area, Chicago Jerk House is the only Caribbean restaurant within hundreds of miles, which contributes to its distinct competitive edge over major fast-food chains like McDonald's, KFC, and Taco Bell. The exclusive recipes and cooking style have attracted customers from across the U.S., underscoring the potential for increased revenue and sustainability with the proposed funding.

Business Plan
We plan on expanding and providing more job opportunities for people in search of employment and also one day opening another location. We are currently in a small location. Due to the size of location we are limited on staff and my hopes are to one day have a bigger location with more space. We have a very prominent business but with a little more help we can one day become a franchise I’ve been in business over 3 years Thank God. We have been receiving great reviews and great feedback. People travel from all parts of the U.S to eat our food. I apply excellent marketing strategy and customer service. Not to mention the food is great. My location is very small so I’m limited as far as seating and staff. I believe that with more space and staff I can generate enough revenue to stay consistent for years to come. Self Identified Competition
In my town my top 3 competitors are McDonald’s KFC and Taco Bell only because of their size of location and their hours I am the ONLY Caribbean restaurant in this location within hundreds of miles. I’m not traditional I have my own recipes and as far as Tennessee there is no one who cooks the food that I cook. I’ve had local restaurant try and get me to go in business only to retrieve my recipes and style of cooking. That’s why people come from so far to eat because they can’t get this taste no where else.
