XYBASE, INC. 650999581 | Government Grant Application

XYBASE, INC. | Application Preview

XYBASE, INC. is seeking government grants to finance its projects primarily related to international airports outside the United States. The funding will cover consultant fees, travel expenses, insurance, and administrative costs.

The company's business plan focuses on the next five years, aiming to position itself as a significant disruptor in three key areas: Airport Business Modelling with a cargo focus, development of global passenger and baggage processes, and the establishment of a Halal Platform to capitalize on the growing Halal market. Key project locations include Kazakhstan, recognized as a strategic hub for air freight and a center for agricultural production, and other countries along the One Belt One Road initiative.

The Halal Platform aims to serve as a central transactional engine for transporting Halal products, enabling efficient logistics and certification processes across multiple countries, potentially serving over 650 million consumers. The Halal market is projected to be worth USD 9.71 trillion by 2025, with significant growth in Halal e-commerce.

XYBASE emphasizes its resilience and adaptability, particularly in the wake of pandemic challenges affecting the aviation industry. Despite reducing its workforce temporarily, the core team remains focused on advancing its initiatives and bids. The funding request underlines the urgency of support to navigate the current landscape and enable the execution of its projects, with an eye toward potentially pursuing venture funding in the future.

Competitive threats include established companies such as SITA and Amadeus. However, XYBASE believes it has a competitive edge due to the high barriers to entry in its initiatives, which require government support and expertise in aviation policy, technology, and cargo operations. Their innovative approach combines industry knowledge with a commitment to turning concepts into viable businesses, positioning them to lead in the evolving aviation sector.

Project financing which will include consultant fees, travel expenses, insurance and administration expenses where our projects are mostly related to international airports outside of the United States.

  • Business Plan

Next 5 years is crucial for the company to establish itself as a major disruptor in 3 business areas, namely, Airport Business Modelling/Cargo Focused Airports, Development and promoting of global passenger and baggage process and handling. Plan is to catalyse and develop the 3 initiatives as projects for selected Airports, which are strategically located as a natural hub. They are Kazakhstan for Central Asia and also a natural Air Freight route between East, West and South East. Central Asia is also rich in farming and farmlands that can be positioned for Food Security. And it sits smack in center of the Asia promoted One Belt One Road initiative Route. Central Asia can also be the next Manufacturing hub for lighter goods such as electronics, PPEs, and engineering parts. Another of our initiatives is the Halal (Kosher) Platform to consolidate the up and coming very lucrative Halal Market in terms of Food, Cosmetics and Fashion. The platform provides a central transactional engine for all Cargo Operators, Importers and Exporters to transport their Halal products via Halal certified carriers, warehousing and handlers. This is almost an exact replica of Amadeus or SITA engine for passenger flight booking. Or maybe more like Expedia for Cargo. A combination of United States, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Malaysia and Indonesia is already a catchment of more than 650million consumers. The Halal market size is expected to reach USD9.71 trillion in 2025. Today, Halal e-commerce is already at USD2.3 trillion and expected to reach USD 4.5 trillion in 2024. Apart from the certification and ensuring the whole supply chain is Halal, our initiative includes also Track and Trace/Farm to Table business process. The Airport Business Modelling is based on IATA and ACI's push for post COVID-19 compliance and how the Airports around the World needs to adapt and re-modelled their business and revenue footprint Our plan is to catalyse and develop all these projects with the relevant partners within the countries identified. We never quit and have never done so. Every time we hit a difficult patch, we tend to group together and focus on the tasks at hand or how to re-invent ourselves. That is why we are more of a Ideas and Services Aviation company today, from a technology base. This Pandemic has hit us hard being in the Aviation industry, and that is the fact and we are now more focused than ever on the initiatives we have designed. But we do have the skills and knowledge, second to none today, in our area of Aviation business. We are proud of it. Unfortunately, we had to furlough most of our staff as a temporary measure to have a more manageable cash flow. But the core team remains. What's even more challenging is that the borders are still closed, and flights are rare to none. But we are persevering and responding to a good number of bids and working on the 3 initiatives. We are learning how to get some of the work done off-site and trying to get paid. Getting there but timing is crucial for us now. That is why we are working and hoping for some aid. And maybe later go for some venture funds based on the 3 initiatives.

  • Self Identified Competition

SITA, Amadeus, T-Systems Barriers of entry on the 3 initiatives are rather high as it requires the respective Government approvals and support. Example is the Halal Hub in Kazakhstan which is strongly backed by the Government and Kazakhstan is a natural midway City. As for Halal, the Saudi government is also supporting this initiative as part of the Saudi 2030 Transformation program. All these initiatives must have a combination of skills and knowledge is Aviation Policy and Principles (which we are), knowledge in Technology, Airports, cargo and Airlines (which we are all of the above as we have been in this industry for the last 30 years) Our approach is rather new but a combination of all and our ability to take pieces of requirements and turn them into a workable and commercially viable business. We are now in the business of Imagineering, based on the industries we are strong in and where our knowledge is second to none.
