SJS Unique Designs | Application Preview
SJS Unique Designs seeks government grants to support its expansion efforts. The funding will be utilized to purchase supplies needed to transition into a limited liability company (LLC) or corporation, enabling the business to fulfill its existing partnership with Walmart.com, which has been in place since June 2018. With these funds, the business aims to diversify its product offerings to include resin wood tables, which could significantly enhance revenue.
The business plan focuses on increasing the customer base through the established relationship with Walmart.com while also exploring opportunities to operate a personal storefront dedicated to artisan goods. The owner has previous experience as a contracted vendor in craft events.
The application makes a case for funding approval by highlighting the unique appeal of the jewelry offered, which has garnered growing interest due to its uniqueness and versatility. The owner has successfully organized craft events with multiple vendors, demonstrating strong organizational skills aimed at promoting handcrafted items. The motivation to persist and grow the business is clear.
In terms of competition, SJS Unique Designs identifies major players such as Stella & Dot, Paparazzi, and Origami Owl. However, the company’s competitive advantage lies in its handcrafted jewelry, which features a personal touch, ensuring that each piece is unique. This distinct quality appeals to customers looking for meaningful, locally made products.

Funding Usage
I need the funds to purchase supplies to expand business and become a LLC or Corporation. I have a business relationship with Walmart.com since June 2018, but I need resources to fulfill those orders and get that form of my business moving. I will also like to expand from not just making jewelry, but making resin wood tables which would bring much more revenue into the company to help it to continue to grow

Business Plan
Expanding my customer base through Walmart.com who I already have a business relationship with since June 2018. I would also like to have my pieces in a storefront (craft or artisan store which I have already experienced the opportunity as a contracted vendor) that I own and operate I have a slowly growing business with very unique jewelry pieces that have never been seen before. Because of their versality , customer interest, and how different I can see it expanding. I am motivated individual that have put together 4-5 vendor craft to advertise my work, but also hosted and organized up to 40 craft vendors to attend. Organizing events is something that I am good at to expose the public to handcrafted items, but for my business I want it to be a focus that it is something a busy mom with a family can do and have a goal to reach. I will not quit.

Self Identified Competition
Most of my competitors are direct jewelry sale companies 1.Stella & Dot 2. Paparazzi 3. Origami Owl My jewelry has a personal touch. No two pieces will be the same. To have something hand crafted locally is something special an individual can hold on for a very long time especially if it is well made.
