  • Funding Usage

Humble greetings to you: My name is Oral Ofori and I am an award-winning storyteller and Founder at the information and communication research consultancy known as TheAfricanDream LLC located in Washington, DC, more at www.oralofori.com I write to explore your sponsorship opportunities. I have over a decade of experience in news writing and reporting, photography, videography, and events management. I also provided media coverage for the first ever Jollof Festival an African food event) in Washington DC in 2017 and did the same in 2018 and 2019 till COVID-19 hit. I also provided press for the diplomatic culinary cook-off event -- Embassy Chef Challenge -- organized by Events DC and have been helping raise the African participation and awareness of African embassies and chefs in the event for the past 4yrs since 2016. Due to the frequency with which I host Africans whether from the USA or the continent itself in the DC area for events, I thought it prudent to seek sponsorship from an entity like yours... In the past 6yrs I have brought over from Africa to the United States musicians and artists for events in respective African communities. I had other programs lined up that might have more people traveling into the area for events I am coordinating which have been cancelled or slowed due to COVID-19. Speaking of COVID-19: In April of 2020, I started my "Heroes of COVID-19" writing project. It's a series on the backdrop of a world facing dark periods amid the fight against the virus SARS-CoV-2 (novel coronavirus). My project shines a light of positivity on people striving to make a difference despite the limitations. Read about some of the recent stories I've written since I started this project here:  https://www.theafricandream.net/?s=Heroes+of+covid-19%3A Should you, therefore, decide to sponsor me I will, proudly display in print and/or apparel or voice, any promotional materials you wish to recommend or provide and will promote your organization throughout the events I organize or I am associated with and anytime thereafter as desired based on what we both agree to be the best method at the time, I also host/produce a 30mins human interest show on Fairfax Public access TV as shown in this link https://www.fcac.org/search/node/theafricandream The TV show reaches an audience of 250k per a Comcast estimate. I will be more than glad to feature you on it or feature an advert about your entity. I can also publish articles to promote your interests for distribution in the DC, MD, and VA metropolis. We could also agree on a custom tailored effort that best fits your interests. Find out about the multiple-awards I have won and more about my work and how it impacts the society both in the United States and Africa and why I feel your support will help me and my friends continue to positively impact the corners we find ourselves in should you decide to sponsor or support what I do: https://linktr.ee/the1africandream I will be more than glad to talk more on this in person, till then do not hesitate to find out a little about me and my work from the link below as I remain hopeful that this request meets your kind acceptance. Sincere Regards | Oral Ofori+1202.706.9881 | [email protected]
