VANLIFE-RGV LLC 85-2531553 | Government Grant Application

VANLIFE-RGV LLC | Application Preview

VANLIFE-RGV LLC is seeking government grants to secure funding that will demonstrate financial stability to lenders, helping to obtain a loan necessary for launching and sustaining the business for the next one to two years.

The business plan involves the owner starting operations solo and completing 4 to 5 projects in the first year. Initially, tasks will be outsourced to local talent, with plans to establish a small workforce as the business grows.

The applicant emphasizes a community-oriented approach, focusing on creating jobs, fostering local industry, and contributing to economic development rather than traditional investor contributions.

In terms of competition, the business faces established companies like Sportsmobile, Winnebago, and Airstream, all of which offer high-end camper conversions that cater primarily to wealthy clientele.

VANLIFE-RGV's competitive advantage lies in leveraging local resources to offer affordable, high-quality conversions of both new and used cargo vans, targeting RV enthusiasts, VanLifers, and weekend adventurers. The goal is to prioritize customers' budgetary needs to make the service accessible without compromising quality.

  • Funding Usage

Used for capital to be able to show lenders that I have more than 10% in the bank to get a loan needed to start and sustatin the business for a year or two.

  • Business Plan

I plan on starting the business on my own. Between 4-5 projects to complete in the first year. During the initial startup years I will be outsourcing parts of my project to local talent to my region. As the years go by, I will hire a small workforce to complete the projects. I do not like thinking of investors investing in me, but investing it the idea of helping out a local economy by supplying funds for employment, industry, and economic development. My business approach will be focusing on those three aspects as it grows.

  • Self Identified Competition

Sportsmobile - The manufacture camper vans on the Promaster, Sprinter, and Transit chasis. Their prices are very expensive, and because of this only the upper middle class to wealthy households can afford these conversions. Winnebago - has three camper van (Class B) models. Again another expensive alternative. These vans are not so custom. Airstream - manufacture camper vans as well. These vans are extremely expensive, and do not seem to be as efficient when utilizing space. I plan on using the local resources in the Rio Grande Valley to produce an affordable, quality product. I will offer the ability to convert new and used cargo van chasis. I am hoping to market to RV enthusiasts, VanLifer's, and weekend excursion enthusiasts. I want to make the customers budget work for them rather than have their budget work for the company.
