Kids Ride Safe 804692010 | Government Grant Application

Kids Ride Safe | Application Preview

Kids Ride Safe is seeking government grants to support its mission of providing safe and reliable transportation for families, particularly single parents who struggle to afford private services. The funds will be used to hire additional staff and enhance service capacity, ensuring that children are safely transported, addressing the stress and challenges parents face with drop-off and pick-up routines.

Over the next five years, the business aims to expand its reach throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area and collaborate with both private and public schools to fill existing gaps in transportation services. The founder, who has experienced the challenges firsthand as a single mother, emphasizes the importance of building trust with parents and children by meeting them during the sign-up process and offering personalized communication.

Kids Ride Safe stands out from competitors like Lyft and Uber by focusing on direct engagement with families, providing light snacks, and fostering a supportive environment for children. The founder’s dedication to addressing community needs and her personal investment in the safety and well-being of the children she transports highlight the company’s unique approach. Investors are encouraged to consider this business not only as a viable financial opportunity but also as a means to support families in need of reliable transportation solutions.

  • Funding Usage

I plan on using the funds to hire additional staff to help with job market. I also would like to provide assistant to single mother's and father's who may not have the funding to pay for private transportation services. My main goal is to be a resource for those in need.

  • Business Plan

In the next 5 years I would like to expand my business throughout the DFW area, and connect with private and public schools to assist were they may fall short at. Investors should invest in my company because I have witnessed first hand on how stressful and time consuming drop off and pick ups can be for families when they have a full time job, but are still trying to get their children home safely and also risking their job due to the amount of time it takes. Investors will not only help me overcome financial obstacles but also help those in the community who are in dyer need for assistance because they live 1.9mi away from the school, so their child/children cannot get transportation. Due to so many child abductions in the USA I make it my duty to meet the parents and children at the time of sign up, so that way the child is comfortable with me and also the parent. It may be time consuming but I'm a single mother of 2 and I would not want my children getting in a vehicle with someone I do not know nor trust. I want my investors to know that this was a hobby of mine that I decided to turn into a business because I am known as the neighborhood mom.

  • Self Identified Competition

I have two competitors (Lyft and Uber) but they do not offer what I do. My business is different from my competitors because I am in daily communication with parents in regards to when I pick them up and drop them off. I also provide a light breakfast and or snack after school. The children that i currently provide transportation for are always excited when they see me. I make it my duty to ask them how their day was and telling them to have a great day at school really goes a long way with them.
