S.D. Wilco, LLC | Application Preview
S.D. Wilco, LLC is seeking government grants to fund the development and marketing of their initial software product, which aims to deliver enhanced workplace productivity. The funding will cover the first two years of operations until the company can secure additional financing.
The business plan includes four key steps: designing and launching the minimum viable product, collecting user feedback to ensure market fit, refining the product based on this feedback, and finally, seeking further investment while hiring the right team to execute the strategy.
The software promises to empower non-technical users to efficiently configure data streams, set goals, incentivize employee performance, and boost workplace morale. Despite a competitive landscape that includes established players like Clickup, Salesforce, and Monday.com, Wilco believes their offering will stand out. Unlike these competitors, which cater to tech-centric users or focus on broader functionalities, Wilco targets companies looking to grow with technology but without a heavy technical background.
Goalshark, the name of the product, will track progress towards various customizable goals that users define, leveraging data science and machine learning for insights. The company’s competitive edge lies in its commitment to simplicity, affordability, and effectiveness, with plans to expand its value offerings through advanced technological capabilities in the future.

Business Plan
Step 1: design and launch the minimum viable product Step 2: gather feedback from early stage users and target market to establish market fit Step 3: refine and iteratively improve the product and value streams, all the while keeping an open feedback loop with customers Step 4: seek investing, hire the right people, execute the plan, continue to iterate with feedback and continuously improve and deliver value. The software we are building will make it easy for a non-technical individual to configure data ingestion streams, track goals, provide incentives for employee performance, and improve workplace morale. Although the productivity space is highly competitive, none of the companies out there today make it easy for a non-technical individual harness the full power of business intelligence tools, or share that data in a team oriented model. This idea is compelling and a disruptively fresh take on OKR (objectives and key results) software..

Self Identified Competition
The top three competitiors in this space are clickup.com, salesforce.com and monday.com Each of these three competitors have mature product offerings, and fulfill a wide array of solutions for companies. Clickup is most likely the biggest competitor, as they offer a similar goal tracking functionality, but with manual entry. Salesforce is a widely know CRM tool, and will have some of the functionalities, but is far too broad and complicated for the niche we are targeting. Goalshark's target market is companies who are not in a tech-first industry, but are looking to grow and improve with technology. Monday.com is more of a task oriented system that is very similar to to clickup, and does not track goals. Goalshark will be tracking progress toward goals, and will be agnostic to the use cases of users. Users will be able to configure datasources to track the outcomes they want, and goalshark will track progress towards those outcomes, and use data science and machine learning to identify opportunities, and outcomes of sales driving efforts. The key attribute that makes us different from our competitors is that we are designed to be easy, cheap, and effective. Goalshark's mission is to make it easy to set, track, and meet your goals. After the platform launches there will be a huge opportunity for more value streams through the use of machine learning and artifical intelligence for business analytics, etc.
