Molly Colvin | Application Preview
Molly Colvin is seeking government grants to support her salon business. The funding would primarily be used for essential expenses such as rent, utilities, supplies, advertising, and continuing education. Molly emphasizes that this support is crucial to help her overcome financial challenges and regain stability.
Her business plan focuses on enhancing her skills through ongoing education, ensuring she delivers the best services to her clients. She also aims to expand her offerings to include massage and esthetic services, driven by her passion for boosting her clients' confidence.
Molly believes investors should support her because her work positively affects clients' internal and external well-being. She describes her role as both a counselor and motivator, asserting that when clients feel better about themselves, they contribute positively to their families and workplaces. This ripple effect underscores the value of her services.
When discussing competition, she identifies three nearby salons as her main rivals: Ideation, Roxy Hart, and Boykin & Co. What sets Molly apart is her commitment to ongoing education, which allows her to provide the latest services. She also prioritizes personalized attention by avoiding double bookings, ensuring each client feels valued and appreciated.

Funding Usage
I would like to use the funding that I am able to receive to help pay for business related costs such as rent, utilities, supplies, advertising, and education. It would be a tremendous relief to try and get back on top instead of always playing catch up.

Business Plan
I am constantly trying to keep up with continuing education and classes related to my profession in order to offer my clients the best products and services out there, but those costs are becoming a heavier burden. I would also like to expand my salon soon to offer massage and esthetic services as well. Creating confidence in people is very rewarding, and I want to continue my passion. Investors should invest in me because my profession works on the internal aspect of individuals, as well as the outer aspect. We are counselors and motivators for each of our clients. When they leave us, they feel energized and more confident, and this directly impacts their families and workplace as well. When our clients use our services to invest in themselves, they can in-turn invest back into the workforce and their own lives by feeling and looking their best! I love the work I do, because I see the benefits it has for every person that sits in my chair.

Self Identified Competition
I would have to say my top 3 competitors would be other salons in the area. The closest ones to my location would be Ideation, Roxy Hart, and Boykin & Co. I am different from my competitors because my dedication to continuing education has always allowed me to offer the most up-to-date services for my clients. My clients know this, and appreciate this. I also do not double book my clients, like most other salons do, and the reason for this is so each individual feels important. Their dedication to me should be appreciated, and that's how I show it.
