Coach Ang Atwell 87-4598635 | Government Grant Application

Coach Ang Atwell | Application Preview

Coach Ang Atwell is seeking government grants to enhance her life coaching business, which focuses on supporting millennial women, particularly within the Latina community. The funding will be primarily used to open a women's only gym that addresses health issues specific to women, such as postpartum care and hormonal imbalances. The gym will also serve as a safe environment for women to work out, build community, and participate in workshops aimed at improving mental health and promoting a holistic lifestyle.

Her business plan includes working with individual clients, expanding to group coaching, hosting in-person workshops, and securing contracts with universities for educational sessions. Once the gym is established and successful, she hopes to expand to additional locations to further her mission.

Coach Atwell believes that the funding is vital because there is a significant lack of accessible mental health resources and safe workout environments for women in her area. She sees a unique opportunity in the San Antonio market, where life coaching and women's gyms are underrepresented.

Her unique selling point lies in her authenticity and relatable background as a former athlete, working woman, wife, and mother. With her passion, persistence, and determination, she is committed to making a substantial impact in her community.

  • Funding Usage

As a Latina mindset and life coach for millennial women, I am constantly looking for ways to have more local impact and having funding would help that immensely. And once my coaching business grows, I’ll be able to grow other entities in my business like a women's only gym. And the larger portion of the money would go to the beginning of opening a women's only gym to cater to womens needs health wise (having a nutritionist or professional to help with postpartum, hormonal imbalances, education, and more) but also build community, a safe space to workout, better women's mental health, and have classes and workshops for an overall holistic approach.

  • Business Plan

I plan on working with more 1:1 clients, expanding to group options, having more in person workshops, take on speaking engagements, be contracted with universities and schools for workshops, and then open a women’s only gym. My goals are long term and are definitely needed. Women need more accessibility to mental health resources like life coaching and a gym that is a safe space for them to workout, build community, and have an overall holistic experience to better their lives. When the first gym becomes successful, opening other locations would be ideal to spread the message and the impact either locally, state wide, or nationally.

  • Self Identified Competition

Locally I don’t really have many competitors as life coaching is fairly untapped in San Antonio, TX as well as the women’s only gym market. That is why I know what I plan to do is important and has a lot of potential to make a big impact and a lot of money since there is currently a void in the marketplace and I’m here to fill it. I am a truly authentic coach and woman who shows up as I am and not in a persona of a professional. I am able to relate on many levels as a former athlete, working woman, wife, and working mom. I have the fire, persistence, and drive of an athlete and I do not stop until I get what I want.
