Badazzle Boutique | Application Preview
Badazzle Boutique is submitting a government grant application to secure funding for two primary purposes: hiring additional staff and acquiring inventory. The owner currently works full time, making it challenging to manage the business, and believes bringing on help will improve operations. The funding will also enable the owner to purchase clothing from various vendors to enhance the store's offerings.
The business plan includes hosting pop-up shops, leveraging social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram for promotion, and maintaining an online presence through a website to attract customers.
The owner emphasizes the need for this boutique in the Lansing area, noting the limited number of retail options and the emptiness of local malls. By establishing a physical store, Badazzle Boutique aims to draw shoppers back into the community, offering immediate purchases that encourage confidence and satisfaction.
In terms of competition, Badazzle Boutique faces challenges from stores like Windsor, Rainbows, and Charlotte Russe, which are among the few available options for women shoppers in Lansing. However, the boutique plans to differentiate itself by selling unique boutique clothing that won't be found in department stores. By sourcing items from exclusive vendors, Badazzle Boutique aims to provide customers with distinctive styles that enhance their individual expression.

Funding Usage
I plan to hire someone to help me due to me still working full time to pay for my household expenses and regular expenses I also need the funding for inventory so that I can shop with different vendors for more clothing
-
Business Plan
I plan on doing pop up shops and promoting my business through Facebook and Instagram and I also want to keep my website open for more business I am catering to my community reasoning for this store is there aren’t many stores in the Lansing area anymore and the malls are completely empty I will bring people back to the community for shopping in the store rather them online and waiting for there merchandise they can come in and purchase it from me and have it the same day to wear and feel confident in themselves
-
Self Identified Competition
Windsor Rainbows and charlotte rues are my competitors because we as women have such a selective few stores to shop with here in the Lansing area I’m going to be selling boutique clothes so what makes me different than the department store is that you won’t see anyone else wearing the items because I will be purchasing them from vendors that the department store doesn’t buy from
