Ewer LLC | Application Preview
Ewer LLC is seeking government grants to expand its retail operations and enhance its product offerings. The funding will be dedicated to increasing inventory, acquiring materials for original creations, and launching advertising campaigns on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest to boost brand awareness.
The business plan emphasizes a strategic increase in advertising, along with consumer research to identify popular products. Additionally, Ewer LLC aims to create more engaging content for social media and marketing purposes, fostering trust with potential customers. Plans also include developing marketing materials like brand campaigns, email marketing, improved packaging, and printed shipping items, along with enhancing personal skills in crafts like woodworking, pottery, glass blowing, sewing, and metalworking to offer unique and exclusive products.
Founded three years ago, Ewer LLC embodies the philosophy of "Everything Wrong, Everything Right," reflecting a journey of personal growth and resilience. The business owner is passionate about vintage and antique items, seeing value in what others discard. With a background in graphic design and a commitment to sustainability, Ewer LLC focuses on upcycling second-hand finds to reduce waste and provide artistic, repurposed products. The main competitors are established brands such as Anthropologie, West Elm, and Crate & Barrel, but Ewer's competitive edge lies in its upcycling approach, turning overlooked items into desirable products through creativity and craftsmanship.

Business Plan
I plan to run ads at a more robust rate and research the items that consumers are most interested in to provide the highest quality products in those categories. Alongside this, I will put an increased amount of time into content creation to use across my social media platforms as well as for marketing materials which will in turn create more trust in my brand from potential customers. Marketing materials will include brand campaigns, email marketing, better packaging, and printed shipping materials. I also plan to grow my own skillsets in creating more inventory for my story. I'd like to learn woodworking, pottery, glass blowing, sewing, and metalworking skills in order to bring more original and exclusive items to my store. Ewer is a company that I have been working on creating for 3 years now. My company stands for Everything Wrong, Everything Right and it began at a point in my life when I was lost on what I wanted to do. During this time, I was learning how to not be defeated by the obstacles in my life and find the silver linings in them to use them for my benefit. During the time that I was ideating what to do with my brand, I found a love for vintage and antique items — items that others no longer wanted but that could still serve a purpose for others ("everything wrong"). I have a graphic design background and went to The Savannah College of Art and design, so the items I found interested me because of their artistic quality, and I recognized that I could upcycle these items and put them in new homes which would also keep them from ending up in landfills ("everything right"). The world has a waste problem, and I hope that by finding and reselling items I can help to mitigate the amount of waste that ends up in the trash, even if for just a bit longer. I understand that I also stand to gain benefits from what I am doing as a company. I am motivated to follow through on the vision that I have for Ewer to not only gain success for myself but also to help give back to my loved ones and be able to be a resource for others who are in need.

Self Identified Competition
Anthropologie, West Elm, and Crate & Barrel are my biggest competitors. They each have a very similar aesthetic to what Ewer Studio has and all sell home goods and furniture. A huge part of my efforts focuses on recycling items that I find in second-hand stores. I like to refer to what I do as upcycling. I find items in second-hand stores and "upcycle" them to give them a new look. Some items I simply take and restore in order to be resold. As I have previously mentioned, this helps to cut down on the number of items in these stores that do not make it into another home and instead end up in a landfill. This creates an avenue for my own creative interests as an artist as I take items and use various craft skills to restore items and/or give them a new look. Some of the items in my store are completely handmade from start to finish by myself. I want to sell these items alongside new items as well.
