C6 Outfitters | Application Preview
C6 Outfitters is applying for government grants to eliminate their debt, which they believe will enhance their chances of success as they work to open their store. They envision expanding their inventory and aim to purchase the building they currently rent, which includes a gym that could provide additional passive income. They also plan to rent out a third office space included in the purchase.
The owners emphasize their commitment to bringing more variety to their small town, which currently has limited retail options like Walmart and a few other stores. The husband, a retired veteran, and the wife, previously in the mental health field, view this store as a lifelong investment and hope to pass it on to their children one day. They believe that overcoming current financial challenges would not only validate their hard work but also benefit the community economically.
In terms of competition, C6 Outfitters faces Bi-Rite Sporting Goods, Walmart, and Bomgaars. They differentiate themselves by offering a wider range of high-quality sporting goods and everyday items at reasonable prices. They also support local producers by carrying unique products from nearby artisans, thereby reinforcing their commitment to the local community. This diverse inventory sets them apart and helps foster local entrepreneurial spirit.

Business Plan
We plan on being able to offer more inventory to our Customers, hopefully purchase the building that we are currently renting. With the purchase would obviously include our store but it would also come with the ownership of the Gym in the lower half. That would be a great form of passive income for us as well. And lastly, there is a third office that would be purchased as well that we would rent out to someone. Investors should invest in us because we are trying to being more variety into our small town. We have only Walmart, City Market, Bomgaars and Tractor Supply as our Major Stores. With doing this it obviously brings more money into the town. My husband has served his country for 12 years and finally retired 3 years ago. Wife had worked in the Mental Health field for 12 years but as the Federal funding kept getting taken away that job was no longer available. This Store is our whole life and we would love to be able to leave it to our 2 children when they get older. Being able to see us pull through these hard times would be a reassurance that we are doing the right thing and so rewarding.

Self Identified Competition
Our three competitors are Bi-Rite Sporting Goods that has been here for 30+ years. They had been the only one for years and there prices have always been so high. They had it made, people made it as they were trying to Support Small Business in Our little town. With that being said we are 2 different sporting goods stores. Walmart is the second one but they do sell lower end stuff and we sell high quality stuff with responsible prices. And lastly, Bomgaars is the other competition. They only sell little amounts of stuff like ammunition, some gloves, hats and stuff like that. Our sporting goods store sells a variety of merchandise. Not only do we sell camping, hunting, fishing, ammunition we also sell everyday civilian clothing, workout supplements and sell other local Small Businesses. We sell Salsa for some local Residents. There is a friend in a nearby town, Saratoga, that makes merchandise that we now sell in the store. He was only selling through social media, friends and events. Our store is the first mainstreaming selling for him. We love to be able to provide that for our fellow residents that only improve our small town.
