Case transportation LLC | Application Preview
Case Transportation LLC is applying for government grants to enhance its service capabilities during the upcoming fire season. The requested funding will be allocated to purchase a handwashing unit that will be used continuously for firefighters, utilizing a 12-volt system to ensure efficiency without relying on a generator.
The business plan involves using generated revenue from this fire season to acquire at least three additional trailers, allowing the company to serve more firefighters in future contracts.
As a veteran with a service-connected disability and six years of experience in the industry, the applicant has a strong track record, having never received negative feedback from previous employers.
In terms of competition, Case Transportation faces strong players like Alpine Transport and Evergreen. However, the applicant has consistently underbid their prices, securing more contracts over the past two years. Relationships with these companies have also been beneficial for gaining industry knowledge and insights.
The company's competitive edge lies in its year-round service model, leveraging the handwashing trailers beyond the firefighting season. By maintaining operations during the winter months at events like rodeos and carnivals, the business aims to avoid the seasonal downtime that affects many competitors. The applicant has invested in building robust trailers designed to operate in cold weather, positioning the company for sustained revenue generation throughout the year.

Funding Usage
I will be using these funds to purchase a handwash unit which will be utilized on the upcoming fire season once the contracts are signed. I will be making upgrades to make the trailer more efficient and it can serve the firefighters 24/7 using a 12 volt system rather than running a generator the whole time meaning it will be open for business the entire time I’m on a fire

Self Identified Competition
Alpine transport is one of the more prominent competitors located in my region I worked for them initially when I first started out and have planned to modify my trailers to work better than theirs. My contract these past two years have beaten their prices and have resulted in more time on fires than any single one of theirs. Wildfire mobile laundry is another company I worked for he has helped me get my foot in the door showing me how to set up my own business as well as letting me build contracts based on what his look like after 20+ years in the industry. He has helped me get my foot in the door utilizing one of his trailers splitting the profits 50/50 with me of the trailer. Evergreen is another company who runs contracts for wildland fire camps and I have beaten their prices two years in a row. My company is new but I have worked on different variations of hand wash units learning what works and doesn’t. A lot of companies are worried solely about getting the contract for the fires and when the season ends they don’t look for other avenues of revenue for that mobile sink trailer. I will be making my trailers available year round meaning in the spring, summer, and fall months I’ll be on fires but in the winter I’ll be able to find work at winter rodeo series, winter carnivals, concerts, and many other events. A lot of individuals winterize their equipment in the fall where I will be building mine to withstand the cold and in turn I’ll be able to work through the winter months with no worry of freezing pipes or pumps.
