Improving Arts Academy 644405841 | Government Grant Application

Improving Arts Academy | Application Preview

Improving Arts Academy is applying for government grants to secure funding for a dedicated music studio location and to acquire additional instruments. The creation of a physical space is aimed at addressing community demand for music instruction, allowing the academy to hire more instructors, create summer opportunities for students, and engage in outreach by partnering with charitable organizations.

The academy emphasizes its commitment to providing high-quality, pedagogically sound instruction for music students of all ages. Unlike many local studios that hire instructors without formal music degrees, Improving Arts Academy prioritizes qualified instructors. This approach is essential, especially in teaching music and voice, where improper instruction can be detrimental. The academy fosters a love for music and performance, aiming to cultivate empathetic students who strive to positively impact their communities.

Despite competition from larger studios like Freeway Music and Lexington School of Music, Improving Arts Academy differentiates itself through its focus on sound pedagogy, ongoing professional development, and the ability to offer personalized instruction informed by advanced education and experience.

  • Business Plan

With a physical space, we can meet the needs of the demands of the community for more instruction, bringing on more instructors, producing opportunities for students during the summer, and for providing general outreach for community needs also by partnering with charitable organizations to support music students. We are dedicated to providing pedagogically sound instruction to music students of all ages. Many music studios in our area unfortunately hire instructors who do not have degrees in music. While experience can usually be reciprocal, instruction of music, specifically voice, can be dangerous and harmful if taught incorrectly. Our instructors are passionate about instilling a love of music in students, nurturing the love of music and performance, and being able to provide connections within music to create students that are empathetic and seeking to improve their communities.

  • Self Identified Competition

Freeway Music and Lexington School of Music are some of our competitors. They are large scale studios with multiple locations. Our studio focuses on sound pedagogy, focused by higher institution learning, ongoing professional learning and education, and by connecting student learning to their own experiences. Our studio is able to offer personal instruction while being informed by the highest level of experience and education.
