Dyson's Daycare is applying for government grants to support operating expenses, facility upgrades, and expansion. The primary goal is to establish a larger facility, which will enable the daycare to care for more children in the community, particularly those from low-income families. The daycare plans to launch a Non-Profit to provide additional support such as childcare and food assistance as families recover from the pandemic's economic impact.

The owner believes that funding approval is essential due to the growing demand for childcare services, especially since the business currently has a waiting list for enrollment. The daycare is uniquely positioned in the community as it primarily serves low-income families, which sets it apart from potential competitors. While some parents pay regular rates, the focus remains on supporting those in need.

The daycare's competitive edge lies in its commitment to the community and its efforts to help parents re-enter the workforce while ensuring their children receive quality care. The funding will play a critical role in sustaining and expanding these programs, which aim to lower unemployment rates and boost the local economy.

  • Funding Usage

My funds will be used for operating expenses and upgrades and to also expand to a bigger facility.

  • Business Plan

I plan to have a bigger facility that will allow us to care for more community children. We also plan on opening a Non-Profit to assist low income families with childcare, food and help while they get on their feet after the pandemic recession. I feel my business is growing although we are all still trying to bounce back from the pandemic. My business is a high demand in my community. I plan to open a bigger facility as i have no space to accept more children. We have a waiting list but in order to accommodate the waiting list i need a bigger facility.

  • Self Identified Competition

I feel I have no competitors because i'm the only childcare service in my community that assist low income families. Some parents pay little or nothing for these services. Although we do have some parents who are not low income and do pay regular price. We focus on our community. We focus on helping parents get back to work while caring for their children. We feel that our program will help families with childcare, lower unemployment rate and boost our economy. In order for this program to continue we need help with funding and grants.
