Two Rabbit Enterprises 10204223 | Government Grant Application

Two Rabbit Enterprises | Application Preview

Two Rabbit Enterprises is seeking government grant funding to replace essential snow clearing equipment and hand tools for ice removal, as well as to increase capital funding to avoid account fees that impact their rental operations. The business, operated by a husband and wife team, aims to remain a small family-run enterprise. They recently purchased a duplex in Anchorage and set up a property rental management company, focusing on housing Alaska Housing Voucher recipients.

The couple, both Marine Corp veterans and longtime Alaskan residents, have a strong commitment to providing clean, affordable housing for local families, particularly those facing economic challenges. They express a deep sense of fulfillment from their work, emphasizing their desire to support the local community without aiming for significant expansion. They intend to minimize costs to ensure they can meet the needs of their tenants while preparing for the upcoming winter, as their previous snow clearing equipment proved inadequate.

In terms of competition, they hold an inclusive view, believing that collaboration among individuals in the community is more beneficial than rivalry. Their competitive edge lies in their dedication to maintaining a supportive, community-focused rental environment, emphasizing the importance of local connections over profit.

  • Business Plan

Would like to remain a small local family run business. My wife and I do not plan to expand beyond our ability to maintain our own expectations. My wife an I are both Marine Corp Veterans and Alaskan residents that have recently purchased our first duplex in the Anchorage municipality. We organized a property rental management company because we do intend on getting a couple more units down the road. Our tenant is an Alaskan native family comprised of an aging single father housing his 1 special needs daughter and 1 granddaughter. We intend on housing solely Alaska Housing Voucher recipients in the future and strive to provide them clean, well maintained, and affordable housing. This undertaking has opened our eyes to the fulfillment we get from the hard work we put in to our units as well as the ability for local families affected by economic indifferences to have options when it comes to decent housing. We're not trying to start an empire by any means. We can only do so much. But between the two of us. We know can do a lot. Were simply trying to do our part in supporting local to stay local, and overall uplift families that may otherwise not have this opportunity if we don't. We're trying to minimize our overhead costs as much as possible for obvious reasons but with winter fast approaching. We're reaching in all directions to get a new snowblower to make sure the parking area stays clear and safe this winter. The single stage electric unit we purchased last season just didnt get the job done and died mid season. We simply couldnt afford to replace it so i was out shoveling every evening. Were also trying to get our capital funding up high enough to get us within the threshold to forego business account fees which ultimately just takes away from our tenants in the end. My wife and I both work full time jobs in the area also. Unfortunately we just don't make enough to get over this hump it seems like.

  • Self Identified Competition

Honestly, I don't feel in competition with anyone. If anything. I welcome any and all competition. If enough couples and individuals alike all compete towards this goal. We could collectively hold on to that tight knit sense of community for at least a while longer. We trust in that the most deserving will receive what they need. Please see initial response
