Apex Auto and Diesel Repair LLC | Application Preview
Apex Auto and Diesel Repair LLC is seeking government grants to purchase their existing shop property. The goal is to either enhance the current facilities or construct a new shop to attract skilled technicians and a higher caliber of customers. The existing building is aging and requires significant repairs, which the current owner, a retired veteran on a fixed income, is unable to manage.
The company's immediate objectives focus on acquiring the property or finding alternative locations to support growth. The current limited space hinders their ability to expand operations, hire more employees, and accommodate additional clients.
The rationale for funding approval emphasizes the stability and necessity of automotive repair services, highlighting that such businesses remain essential even during economic downturns. Apex Auto has shown resilience by surviving the pandemic and doubling its first-year performance. The shop aims to keep evolving to meet community needs.
Though competition includes local dealerships and other repair shops, Apex Auto sets itself apart with favorable labor rates that remain constant while competitors increase theirs. They pride themselves on their honesty, reliability, and exceptional diagnostic skills, which even attract referrals from larger dealerships. The team is well-trained, working efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction and support for fleet accounts.

Funding Usage
We would like to purchase the property from the owner so we can have a new shop building built with for newer, more functional facilities to encourage a higher caliber of technician to work for us and a higher caliber of clientele to want to use us. The shop we are currently in is very old and needs extensive repair of the roof, the exterior and the interior, plus the mostly unpaved parking lot that the land owner does not want to do because he is a retired veteran and on a fixed income. We would like to purchase the property from him so we can then either upgrade the current facilities or build another facility on the property and eventually tear down the old one and pave that area for a better parking arrangement for our clients and fleet accounts.

Business Plan
Our main goals right now is either to buy the current property from the land owner or find another property that is for sale in the area that can fit a new facility on it. What is holding us back right now is the lack of room in our current business facilities to grow, to hire more employee or take on more clients. Automotive repair, servicing and maintenance is an essential business that will always be needed, even in times like these where the country is in a recession people and companies still need dependable and safe vehicles to go to work, to keep business going, to receive and ship supplies, to keep roofs over their family's heads. Our shop opened right before the pandemic and survived. Then we doubled our first year numbers. We know that our reputation is great and we want to continue to grow how our customer base needs us to. The opportunities are endless in this industry because people need vehicles to get anywhere to do anything and we want to be there to provide our communities automotive repair and servicing needs.

Self Identified Competition
Local dealerships and other local shops. We do have a super competitive labor rate that has stayed the same even when others are raising their prices. We are honest and dependable. Our diagnostics team is so good even large dealerships use us when they themselves cannot figure out a vehicle. We have employees that are highly trained and work very efficiently to keep our clients and fleet accounts going.
