Genesis Sports Performance | Application Preview
Genesis Sports Performance is seeking government grants to fund essential needs for their fitness facility, such as securing a lease, purchasing fitness equipment and flooring, obtaining office supplies and signage, acquiring insurance, covering staff wages, and executing marketing efforts for presales and their grand opening.
The business operates based on a tested model established at their first location, incorporating documented systems for effective operations and growth. These systems cover training protocols, diverse marketing strategies (internet, organic, print, and radio), and a robust sales training program that boasts an 85% close rate. They emphasize day-to-day operational systems to enhance member retention and engagement, leveraging social media for visibility and customer acquisition. Their reputation within the community, particularly among youth and high school sports, fosters significant word-of-mouth referrals.
Funding approval is justified by their success post-COVID, where they transitioned to virtual workouts to maintain client engagement during lockdowns. This adaptability enabled them to grow from 90 to 310 members within two years. Their commitment to positively impacting clients' lives is illustrated through the Genesis Pledge, which emphasizes values like honesty, integrity, and accountability, focusing not just on athletics but also on life skills.
While acknowledging D1 Training as a distant competitor, Genesis Sports Performance has effectively attracted clients from them and other local facilities, primarily through strong social media engagement and visible results. Their competitive edge lies in limiting class sizes to ensure a better coach-to-client ratio, which fosters superior outcomes for their athletes. This focus on measurable results, coupled with a genuine concern for their clients' futures beyond sports, differentiates them from competitors who prioritize profit over long-term client success.

Business Plan
We have a tested model that we have followed on our first facility. We have documented systems for everything we do on how to successfully run and grow a business. This includes proven systems on Implementing our training protocols, Marketing our business which includes internet marketing strategies, organic marketing, promotional marketing, as well as print and radio marketing. We have a proven sales training system which has lead to an 85% close rate. We also utilize in depth systems for day to day operations for things such as member retention, member recognition, building maintenance, Social proof via our social platforms i.e. facebook, instagram, twitter and tic tok. We get a significant amount of growth from word of mouth. We have an impeccable reputation in our community and within the local youth and H.S. sports market. There are several reasons. First of which is what we have accomplished since COVID. COVID was a very real threat to us and several competitors. It put many of us out of business. We found a way through zoom workouts to keep our clients happy and current on their monthly dues. Once our doors opened again we implemented all the systems mentioned above and went from roughly 90 members to 310 members in less than two years. We have built one location from scratch and been successful. We are certain this same business model will work again. Another key reason investors would want to invest in us is our character. Of course we want to have a lucrative business but not at all costs. We have a real desire to be have a positive impact on our clients lives. We make all of our athletes sign what we call the Genesis Pledge. This pledge has key points we discuss in depth with our student athletes and then if they are in agreement they sign the pledge before they become a member. The key points are words such as, honesty, dedication, fortitude, integrity, accountability and progress. It talks about life after athletics, making sure time is budgeted for homework and family. We care about our clients and not just on the athletic level. We want them to succeed outside of the athletic arena. We want them to succeed in life.

Self Identified Competition
We really only recognize one competitor. D1 training. However they are geographically pretty far out of our market. However, we get several people from them a year. When we ask why they left and came to us, they usually say, I see your social posts and see the results your athletes are getting and I want the same thing. We actually have a competitor right across the street but we really don't acknowledge them. Almost all of their athletes switched to us this past year for the same reason as above. Simply utilizing our social platforms and posting on a regular basis has done wonders for us. One thing for sure is that we limit the size of how many clients can attend a class. We require them to preregister. This allows our coach to client ratio to be much better than our competitors which intern cultivates much better results. Results are the sole reason athletes seek businesses like ours. We meticulously track results. Our competitors don't and they have way too many clients and not enough coaches per class. It may maximize profits in the short run but not in the long run. No tracking, no results eventually leads to no clients. The other major thing that separates us from our competitors is what I mentioned above about caring about the future of our clients, most of which won't include sports in the real world.
