J & M Poultry Farms 92-0498917 | Government Grant Application

J & M Poultry Farms | Application Preview

J & M Poultry Farms is seeking government grants to establish a poultry farm focused on egg production for local markets. The funding will be primarily used to acquire affordable land, necessary equipment (including buildings, tractors, feeders, water systems, and the first batch of egg-laying chickens), and essential supplies such as chicken feed and heating lamps.

The business plan outlines a timeline of six months to a year for initial operations to gauge revenue. The intention is to expand the operation with additional barns and a hatchery program while contributing positively to the community.

The applicant highlights the value of investing in a veteran-owned business, emphasizing a commitment not only to personal goals but also to supporting others. When it comes to competition, the applicant is unsure of any local rivals, pointing out a mindset of collaboration rather than competition, viewing the production of eggs as a shared mission to benefit the community.

  • Self Identified Competition

I really don't know if there are any competitors in the area. If there is or was a competitor near me, we shouldn't see as a competition, the way I see it is that have a common goal, and is to produce eggs for the community, like we say in the Army "one team, One fight".
