Strength Through Movement | Application Preview
Strength Through Movement is seeking government grants to establish a community-centered program aimed at the elderly population. The funding will be utilized to acquire essential equipment and hire staff to effectively run the program.
The business plan outlines a five-year goal to expand from two current locations to a new, dedicated facility while continuing to manage and grow satellite locations as the physical therapy company develops.
The need for this funding is underscored by the lack of quality strength training and balance programs available in El Paso, Texas, which are crucial for enhancing the quality of life for seniors and reducing the risk of injuries and falls.
In terms of competition, Strength Through Movement identifies organizations such as YMCA, YWCA, and Silver Sneakers Programs. However, the company distinguishes itself by offering a comprehensive weight training program alongside balance training, ensuring a tailored approach for its clients. Additionally, a partnership with the University of Texas at El Paso allows for the integration of exercise science interns into the program, providing valuable experience for students while benefiting the elderly participants.

Business Plan
Within the next five years we plan on not only expanding from the current two locations we operate out of to having our own facility simultaneously. While owning our own facility we intend to maintain our satellite locations while growing and adding more location as the physical therapy company grows. There are currently very little to no quality strength and training, and balance programs in El Paso Texas that address the elderly's needs to increase quality of life and reduce chance of injury/falls.
