The Belief Center | Application Preview
The Belief Center is seeking government grants totaling $170,000 to support crucial infrastructure improvements: $90,000 for a flat roof replacement and $80,000 for a septic tank replacement originally installed in 1949.
The center serves as a home for 48 boys aged 8 to 18, many of whom face significant challenges due to the loss of parents and barriers to adoption based on race and age. To enhance its services, The Belief Center plans to implement an independent living program for youth turning 18 who lack job opportunities or stable housing, as well as a transitional housing program for the homeless.
The funding is essential to provide a safe and supportive environment for these young men, equipping them with valuable life skills through mentoring and community involvement. The Belief Center is uniquely positioned in a Historically Under-utilized Business Zone, facing no direct competition in its mission.
By offering a nurturing atmosphere, the center aims to prepare these youth for productive futures, counteracting the risks they face when they age out of the system. The funding will help ensure they have the necessary resources to thrive and become active members of their community.

Business Plan
The Belief Center has the capacity to house 48 young men between the ages of 8 and 18. We would like to add an independent living program for the youth that turn 18 and have not obtained a job or housing. We would also like to have transitional housing program for the homeless. The Belief Center is a facility that is available to house young boys between the ages of 8 and 18 who's parents are deceased and they are not able to be adopted because of their race and age. They deserve to have a comfortable place to live where they can learn from the available programs that the Belief Center has to offer such as our mentoring program, and community volunteer involvement from all four fraternities.

Self Identified Competition
Because of the position that The Belief Center is in, we are located in a Historically Under-utilized Business Zone. There are not competitors in this area that offer what we do. Because the Belief Center caters to youth that do not have parents, we want to offer them the best environment and home that they can feel loved and cared for. These children have a low chance of being adopted and once they turn 18 are left for the streets. 48 children can be taught about life and be well prepared for finding jobs and becoming productive active citizens of the community.
