Intermodal Solutions, LLC 88359 | Government Grant Application

Intermodal Solutions, LLC | Application Preview

Intermodal Solutions, LLC is seeking government grant funding primarily for the purchase of initial equipment. The company's plan is to maintain a full-time job while allowing the business to grow through its own profits, with routine maintenance and future equipment purchases being the main expenses.

The applicant, who has extensive experience and valuable contacts in the intermodal field since 2001, highlights the critical issue of chassis availability that significantly impacts import and export operations. While competitors in the area are larger steamship line providers such as TRAC, DCLI, and FCCP, the business aims to serve as a bridge for intermodal truckers by offering private company solutions to equipment shortages, ultimately providing reliable transportation options.

Intermodal Solutions, LLC distinguishes itself as the only private intermodal equipment provider (IEP) in the market. This local approach allows for better maintenance and direct communication with truckers. The business offers flexible leasing options, enabling customers to secure equipment in advance and manage their shipment logistics more efficiently, thus providing a competitive edge in the industry.

  • Business Plan

While working full-time letting the business grow off of its own profits. All costs are routine maintenance and additional equipment purchases. Gaining and excelling in the Intermodal field since 2001, I have the knowledge, and contacts to assist in daily obstacles the intermodal truckers face. The lack of intermodal chassis available put a strain on all import and export shipments.

  • Self Identified Competition

The competitors in the area are established, large steamship line providers (SSL). TRAC, DCLI and FCCP. I wouldn’t consider myself as a competitor, but bridging the gap with Intermodal truckers and providing a solution to supply equipment through a private company. This offers customers to the equipment provider, to provide their customers with reliable transportation and lessen the costs of the lack of equipment available. Currently there is not an established private IEP. Intermodal equipment provider- at this time all markets are only supplied with the larger SSL chassis providers. With being local able to maintain equipment and direct contact with truckers. Providing options to lease equipment for certain dates and rental costs that are flexible, any customer to the private IEP can control the way their shipments move, within a certain timeframe by securing equipment ahead of time.
