Soul Sisters Coffee | Application Preview
Soul Sisters Coffee is seeking government grant funding to enhance their business operations. The funds will be allocated towards upgrading equipment, replacing the front window, and repairing the back door, which poses a challenge for the shorter members of the team.
The business plan includes plans to update their current food truck and acquire an additional one, with a long-term goal of opening a brick-and-mortar coffee shop within five years.
The application emphasizes the personal story behind the business. Founders Kristine and Makenna formed a deep bond at a sidewalk cafe in Sheridan, Wyoming, where they first envisioned starting their own coffee venture. After Makenna faced a serious motorcycle accident that temporarily halted their plans, an unexpected opportunity arose when the owners of a coffee truck they had previously considered purchasing reached out to them with a favorable offer. Seizing the moment, they left their jobs and dedicated themselves to renovating the truck, overcoming various challenges along the way, including significant repairs and improvements.
Their main competitors include City Brew, Mud Slingers, and Java Gypsie. However, Soul Sisters Coffee believes their passion for coffee and commitment to customer relationships sets them apart. They aim to create a welcoming environment where customers can enjoy meaningful conversations and leave with a smile. This personal touch and community focus are highlighted as compelling reasons for funding approval.

Business Plan
We plan on updating our truck and buying another. our 5 year goal is to open a coffee shop. Me and my best friend (Soul Sister) met each other at the sidewalk cafe in sheridan wyoming. We had a instant connection. We talked about starting our own coffee business. Even went and looked at a few mobile trucks. And started researching and making a plan. In April Makenna ( my soul sister) got into a bad motorcycle accident. So we put all our plans on hold. Then out of the blue the people that had a coffee truck (we had previously looked at and talked about buying called and asked us one more time if we wanted to buy this truck. Also selling us this truck even cheaper than we talked about earlier. It was meant to be! We quit our jobs and started working on our coffee truck. ALOT went into getting this thing ready for the road. We got a loan thru the bank and got to work everything had to be replaced. electrical and plumbing inventory ordered , one rainy night and leaking windows. Now everything is in working condition. and we are on the road . Investors should invest in Me: Kristine and Makenna just a couple working moms who love coffee and people.
