AMAZING AUTO AND DIESEL REPAIR 92-0583649 | Government Grant Application

AMAZING AUTO AND DIESEL REPAIR | Application Preview

AMAZING AUTO AND DIESEL REPAIR is seeking government grant funding to cover day-to-day operating costs during its transition to a self-sufficient business. The funds will also be invested in essential computer programs and employee education.

The business owner plans to hire two additional technicians to enhance operations and aims to provide discounted labor rates to customers who need vehicle repairs to maintain their livelihoods. With 40 years of experience in the automotive industry, the owner emphasizes a commitment to family, customers, and employees over personal gain. Previously, he grew another repair shop from zero to $1.2 million in sales, working tirelessly to achieve that success.

The new location is considered an improvement over the last, and the owner has established strong vendor relationships. The competitive landscape includes three nearby shops, but the owner believes collaboration rather than competition exists among them.

With a wealth of knowledge gained from working at a prominent starter and alternator rebuilder and owning a business, the owner feels well-prepared to lead this new venture successfully. The primary request for funding stems from a need for resources to realize this potential.

  • Business Plan

I plan to have 2 more technicians (mechanics) to make this garage fully operational and then to employ as many more as I can. It would also help me to provide discounted labor rates for those in need of their vehicle to get to work and survive. I have been in this business for 40 years (currently 54 years old) I have 3 daughters and 3 grand daughters and have learned that there is more to life than money. However, without it you can not help yourself and therefore not be able to help others. I put my family, customers and employees before myself. For the last Four years I took a repair shop from zero sales to $1.2m in gross revenue single handidly. I put in 130% effort working night and day to make that shop a success. This shop will be even better as it is better located and bigger than the last. Please read the reviews at "Landmark auto and diesel repair" I took pride in what I had achieved I did have a partner and full transperancy, he was designated the owner for when we started the business together we put all the documents in his name as he is a minority which we qualified for 0% interest loans etc. we had a falling out about a month ago and I walked away with nothing. Vowing to never have a partner again, this new shop fell into my lap. I have 100% of the company and am giving my 130% to this new venture. I have a new LLC and have all vendors lined up with new accounts as I have built a fantastic relationship with all of them. (Vendors)

  • Self Identified Competition

There is literally 3 other shops right next door to this one. I have met all of the owners and they are already successful so there would be no competition regarding each other. There are also several shops around us but are corporate owned and I pay no attention to them as I give personal treatment to all my customers, again the reviews from Landmark hold enourmous weight. In my 40 years in the automotive industry I have watched, listened and learned. One of my first jobs out of high school was working for the oldest and largest starter and alternator rebuilders in the state of Arizona. This company had opened in 1947 and when I started there, the original employees were still there in 1985. You could not ask for a better place to work. Manufacturers like GM, Ford and Chrysler would come to US for answers. It was amazing. I absorbed more from that 14 years then most people in a life time. I ultimately ended up purchasing the company at the age of 31. I had the company for a year and as China came in and undercut all of our product, sold the business. In those years I met almost everysingle automotive repair shop owner in the city of Phoenix. Making connections. I look around at other shops and have worked at several over the years and I know how to be successful. I know how to be better than the rest. I just need the means to do it.
