E3; Educational Advocacy and Services LLC N/A | Government Grant Application

E3; Educational Advocacy and Services LLC | Application Preview

E3; Educational Advocacy and Services LLC is seeking government grants to support its business operations, which primarily include expenses related to liability insurance, establishing an LLC in Illinois, and maintaining necessary licenses and memberships. Additional funding will cover office supplies, technology upgrades, trademarking, travel costs, and creating a personalized website.

The business's strategic focus is on underserved areas, particularly charter and private schools experiencing staffing shortages and compliance issues exacerbated by the pandemic. By offering services that help schools align with legal requirements, E3 aims to foster a supportive learning environment and ensure all student needs are met, particularly for those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 plans.

Funding approval would allow E3 to address pressing community needs and enhance educational support for students, leading to beneficial outcomes for both current and future generations in the community. The business differentiates itself in a competitive landscape, where Certified School Nurses face a shortage. With ten years of experience, E3 emphasizes a student-first approach, collaboration with health practices, and a commitment to advocacy and care for students needing special attention.

  • Funding Usage

My current business expenses are limited to private liability insurance, consultant insurance, and obtaining an LLC in the state of Illinois. This requires several upfront fees, and annual membership renewals to stay informed and up to date in my scope of practice. There are other miscellaneous expenses that add up which include but are not limited to; office supplies (updated technology), a trademark on a business name, travel expenses, and obtaining a personalized website for my new business venture.

  • Business Plan

I plan on marketing myself in our most underserved areas that are legally out of compliance due to staffing shortages (charter and private schools). These areas have been hit hard by the pandemic (short staffing and lack of communication between teachers/staff and families). By making my services available to these schools we can obtain that compliance, provide the best learning environment for that student, and ensure the teachers are supported/educated on the student's IEP or 504. Getting my services into these areas will ensure the student's needs are met and that there is never a lull in revenue. Investors would be recognized by myself and it would be an opportunity for them to invest in their local community to provide a much need service to that population. This investment would have long-lasting effects not only on the community population but the future generation of workers who will eventually take over in the coming years. It's an opportunity to invest in a child's future, and help assist local schools in need of a school nurse.

  • Self Identified Competition

The only other competitors would be other Certified School Nurses (but there is a significant shortage and this specialty requires additional education after obtaining a registered nurse license. This is the optimal time for a CSN-PEL to become an independent entity and market accordingly. I have ten years of experience as a school nurse. I am different than others in my place in that I am always going to put the needs of the student first (despite what internal politics exist in the school district). I am here to advocate for those who need it the most, students who need IEPs, medical care plans, and or evaluations. I am able to work well in a team setting and with other health practices to obtain all the documentation needed for students. I handle these cases with great consideration, patience, kindness, and respect for all those involved.
