No Strings Attached Swimwear, LLC | Application Preview
No Strings Attached Swimwear, LLC is seeking government grants to fund the construction of a metal accessory building on their property. This facility will serve multiple purposes, including a small factory for producing handmade wholesale and retail swimwear, as well as warehouse space for shipping and storing products. The building will also house sewing machines to enable the hiring of seamstresses, allowing the business to grow.
The company's business plan includes launching a jewelry line and expanding into coverups and other clothing items for both wholesale and retail markets. The goal is to distribute products across stores throughout the United States in the coming years.
The founder emphasizes a strong commitment to the business, having started it with personal savings and worked diligently since 2006. After years of self-doubt, they have recently decided to pursue this venture full-time, balancing it with family responsibilities as a wife and mother. They have single-handedly managed all aspects of the business and are eager to create job opportunities in their small town, which currently lacks many employment options.
The application notes competition from brands like Beach Bunny and Monte—both established companies in the swimwear industry—as well as support from a mentor in the field. The unique competitive edge stems from the founder's background in fashion design, hands-on sewing skills, and a deep understanding of every aspect of the business. They take pride in personally handling design, production, marketing, and customer interaction, which they believe sets them apart in a market dominated by larger companies that outsource these tasks.
With the requested funding, the founder hopes to expand operations, hire employees, and drive the business toward further success while contributing to their community’s economic development.

Funding Usage
We need to build a metal accessory building on our property to start a small factory to produce wholesale and retail items we make by hand. I also need it for warehouse space for shipping and storing items we sell. Also for us to put sewing machines so we can hire seamstresses to help us make bikinis so we can grow the business.

Business Plan
We have a jewelry line in the process which we will retail and wholesale, we are expanding to coverups and clothing items to wholesale and retail, and wholesaling the swimwear. We plan to be in stores all over the US within the next few years. I started this business with my own money I worked for, with no help from anyone. I started making bathing suits in 2006, but never believed in myself enough to work on it full time and quit my other jobs. Finally, 4 years ago I decided I would succeed. I am doing it. I should have believed in myself way before this. Every year I’m growing and growing, and it’s just been all me. Imagine what it can become with a little space and a little help. I have been running the entire business myself, including making every single swimsuits for the past few years. I am now a wife, and mother to two beautiful little kids, and I support my whole family with this business. I have grown it from nothing and it’s turning into something big, all by myself. I just need a little help, so I can supply jobs to other people in my small town, and have a business that can hopefully supply jobs to many in the near future in our town. I need to hire employees and seamstresses to help, as I cannot handle the workload by myself anymore. We need a space we can work from, that’s safe, and large enough to grow in. Our town doesn’t have many opportunities for people, and I’d like to be a mentor and offer some stability for families here.

Self Identified Competition
Beach bunny, which is a made in China swimwear company. She used to be made in the USA. Monte, she went to the same school as me, and started off like me. Her business is a 40 million dollar a year company because she never quit. Bikini crush, she has a warehouse in florida and we have become friends. She has been a mentor to me, because she started out in her basement, making every suit by hand, just like me. She currently supplies jobs with benefits to many employees. The fact that I went to fashion design school and have had a passion for sewing and designing since I was a little girl. My grandma was a seamstress. She taught me when I was young. I make all of my own patterns, I sew everything by hand myself, I source all my fabrics and design everything from my bikinis, to my logos and hang tags. I created my own website from scratch. I conduct my own photo shoots for selling and my website. I run and added every single product and design to my website, all by myself. I run the instagram. I answer everyone’s questions personally. I’m designing my own jewelry. Coverups. Shirts. Dresses. I have a hand or have design every, single item I sell. I am this business. I never hired anyone to design or do anything for me, so I know everything about the fit of my items. About the construction. About the design. Most companies hire people to do every single part, including making their samples and designing for them. I do it all myself. I’m not buying from a factory and just putting my tag on it. I’m a real designer.
