Babb Bar Cattle Baron Supper Club EiN 20-1148425 | Government Grant Application

Babb Bar Cattle Baron Supper Club | Application Preview

Babb Bar Cattle Baron Supper Club is applying for government grants to expand its kitchen capacity and enhance dining options near Glacier National Park. The restaurant has experienced a surge in customers over the past few years, leading to the need for additional grilling facilities. With over 10,000 square feet of space, they plan to construct a new room for more grills and purchase a new pizza oven. This expansion will enable the hiring of more staff, increasing their nightly revenue.

Located on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and having served the community for 26 years, the restaurant stands out as a popular choice for visitors to Glacier National Park, which attracts over 3 million visitors annually. Their main competitors are nearby lodges and hotels, which often refer guests to Babb Bar due to high demand and limited dining options in the area.

What sets the restaurant apart is its rich historical narrative tied to the region, featuring art, murals, and decor that reflect the stories of the Blackfeet people and the establishment of the business. This cultural connection enhances the dining experience, allowing guests to engage with the local history. The proposed funding is aimed at leveraging this unique position to better serve the increasing number of visitors.

  • Funding Usage

these last few years we have had more people than we could adequately serve. We want to expand the kitchen by adding a room where we can put in more grills. Our building is over 10,000 square feet so we have the room to be able to double our capacity. The east side of Glacier National Park does not have enough places to eat and we are already the most popular place. We also want to purchase a new pizza oven.

  • Business Plan

By adding the grill space, it allows us to hire more grill cooks and servers to be able to increase our nightly revenue. WE would be able to build the space over the winter Our restuarant is on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation located in the entry way to Glacier National Park. We have been open for 26 years. We offer an overall experience.

  • Self Identified Competition

St. Mary's Lodge and resorts and Many Glacier hotel and resort are our only real competition. 2 Sisters would be the 3rd.They are a smaller restuarant than we are. They both refer their guests to us as well because they also have more people than they can handle. Over 3 million visitors come to the park each year with very few dining establishments on this side of the mountain. What makes us different is our restuarant tells so many historical stories that are attached to the area. We have pictures and placemats that tell how my husband's family established this business since before there was a Glacier National Park. We have art that depicts those stories. The timeline story of the Blackfeet is mural around the building. WE have a buffalo jump painting and sculpturethat overlooks the restuarant and a medicine wheel in the center of the building. We share our history and culture with the guest who ask about it.
