Dena Anderson Coaching | Application Preview
Dena Anderson Coaching is applying for government grants totaling $10,000. The funds will be allocated as follows: $7,500 for hiring a branding and marketing consultant, and $2,500 for marketing and advertising in the first six months of operation.
The business aims to provide one-on-one life coaching services specifically for women facing divorce, helping them navigate their emotions and decisions during this challenging time. Within five years, the plan includes expanding services to offer a divorce recovery course with group coaching and establishing a divorce recovery healing center. This center would provide comprehensive support, including coaching, counseling, financial planning, support groups, parenting classes, self-care classes, and mediation services, particularly targeting financially disadvantaged women escaping abusive situations.
The application argues for funding approval by highlighting the unique role of a divorce coach, which differs from traditional therapy and legal representation. Dena Anderson emphasizes her focus on present circumstances and actionable strategies to empower women. The competitive landscape includes SAS for Women and Divorce Care, which offer group support but lack the personalized, one-on-one coaching approach that Dena provides, positioning her services as a more valuable option for clients seeking tailored support throughout their divorce journey.

Business Plan
The business will initially grow as my clientele grows through one on one coaching services. I plan to provide life coach services to women contemplating, navigating and recovering from divorce. In order to help as many women as possible Within 5 years my service offering will expand to include a divorce recovery course that includes group coaching. I would also like to create and open a divorce recovery healing center. Within this center women could find all of the support they need as they go through divorce; coaching, counseling (the process of coaching and therapy are markedly different) post-divorce financial planning, divorce support groups, co parenting classes, self-care classes and mediation services in one place. I would also apply for additional state and federal grants to fund these services for financially disadvantaged women who are leaving abusive marriages. I provide services that fill the gap between those provided by a therapist who typically deals with the past through talk therapy to heal someone and an attorney who is a wonderful advocate for their clients through the legal process of divorce. A divorce coach is present-focus and action oriented. What I do is help women process the emotions and fears surrounding the divorce and legal process so they have more confidence and clarity in making profound life changing decisions, I assist them in preparing for the legal proceedings and life changes that occur as a result of the divorce. There is not currently a modality of this type and in this niche that is designed to serve women through their divorce.
