Jeffs handyman services | Application Preview
Jeff's Handyman Services is seeking government grants to enhance their operations. The funding would be allocated to several key areas: repairing the work vehicle, upgrading outdated tools, launching a website, and furthering education and certification in appliance repair.
The business plan revolves around expanding the service by establishing a crew to better assist homeowners, particularly those who might struggle to afford larger companies. Jeff emphasizes the importance of personalized service and strong relationships with clients, aiming to make them feel valued rather than just a number.
In justifying the funding request, Jeff points to the positive feedback received from clients and the commitment to maintaining quality work at competitive prices, thanks to lower overhead costs compared to larger companies. He acknowledges the challenges posed by competitors with more resources, such as higher operational expenses and the need for ongoing education in a changing market.
However, Jeff believes that his approach—offering personalized service at a lower cost—positions him well in an economy where affordability is increasingly important to consumers.

Business Plan
I hope to have a crew to continue to grow my business. I feel the Handyman work helps people who can not afford large companies to do the job. I feel what I do is important to me and the home owners. I believe in what I do. I work closely with home owners so they feel good about what there doing. I don’t treat them as a number. I have full confidence in what I do and I will make it work. I have had nothing but great comments on my work and work ethic’s. And people like small company’s like mine. I can charge a far price without hurting the home owners. With lower overhead. Like said I believe in what I do and think it’s right. Thanks

Self Identified Competition
Most of my competitors have large overhead so there prices are higher. My problem is the cost of getting started. You have schooling to keep up with changing products. Vehicle expenses. Business insurance. So my competitors are ahead of me. More then one person. So people tend to look for larger companies I have a much lower cost of operating. I believe I’m more personal with clients. People are changing their wanting better service for a lower cost. In today’s economy money it tight that why I feel I’m in the right place.
