Pizza Pie | Application Preview
Pizza Pie is applying for government grants to enhance its operations and community impact. The funds will be allocated for the installation of a city-approved oven hood, essential for proper heat ventilation, and to support local employment through hiring and payroll. Additionally, the grant will help enhance the building’s value by adding dine-in seating accessible to all customers, promoting inclusivity regardless of race, disability, ethnicity, or beliefs.
The business plan includes expanding dine-in options, establishing a full-time delivery service, installing a public restroom, and potentially launching a second location. There are also plans to broaden the menu by incorporating a full kitchen to accommodate customer requests.
Pizza Pie stands out in a crowded market by emphasizing its commitment to using fresh, natural ingredients sourced directly from Italy, including sauce, flour, and olive oil. This focus on quality gives the pizza a distinct flavor profile that customers appreciate. The owner highlights their team’s expertise, with the pizza maker hailing from Sicily and having extensive experience in Brooklyn.
While there are competing pizza shops in the area, such as Dino's Pizza and OIP, none match Pizza Pie’s dedication to freshness and quality. The company maintains a competitive edge by exclusively using natural ingredients without preservatives or hormones, ensuring a superior product that resonates with local customers.

Funding Usage
The funding will be used to install a city approved oven hood above our gas pizza ovens so that we can properly vent the heat in our building. It will also be used to hire and start payroll to help local community employment. I will also use the money to increase the value of the building my business is in by adding dine in seating for all customers regardless of race, disability, (handicapped accessible), ethnicity, or beliefs.

Business Plan
I plan on adding dine-in seating, providing a full time delivery service, public restroom, and perhaps opening a second location. I also plan on expanding our menu items and adding a full kitchen so that we can expand our menu to meet the requests of our customers. Our town has plenty of Pizza Shops; however, we offer only fresh and natural products. Our sauce, flour, and Olive Oil come straight from Italy as well as many other ingredients we use. People can taste the difference and quality. I would highly recommend investing in my company because we are the true, New York Style pizza shop in this area. My pizza maker is straight from Sicily, and lived and made pizzas in Brooklyn, New York for over 20 years.

Self Identified Competition
At this time, we do have other local pizza shops that are similar to ours, but their ingredients do not compare. Dino's Pizza, Altoona, and OIP, Altoona Shops. Again, we use 100% natural and fresh products. Our meats, cheeses, and vegetables are all fresh, never processed, no preservatives or hormones, and our Olive Oil, sauce, and flour come straight from Italy. No one else in our town uses the flour that we use.
