Everglades Landscaping and Nursery, Inc | Application Preview
Everglades Landscaping and Nursery, Inc. is seeking government grant funding to enhance its operations. The proposed funds will be allocated towards acquiring commercial-grade equipment, expanding their nursery, and hiring 1-2 additional employees.
The business plan focuses on growth through customer acquisition and nursery expansion, with an emphasis on acquiring agricultural land in Southwest Florida. The company aims to cultivate popular tree and shrub varieties in bulk to support the ongoing rebuilding efforts in the Naples/Ft. Myers area, as well as the significant development happening in eastern Naples.
A key reason for approving the funding is the inspiring story of Matthew, a 14-year-old with a strong passion for nature and a dedication to hard work. His experience in landscaping has fueled his entrepreneurial spirit, supported by his father, who is committed to helping him succeed. Matthew's ambition is to make the business thrive, and he has expressed a goal of becoming a millionaire by the age of 20. While the father's financial contributions are limited, his background as an accountant ensures responsible management of the funds.
Despite facing stiff competition, Matthew's determination, charisma, and perfectionist approach are viewed as significant advantages. He is committed to delivering high-quality services and ensuring customer satisfaction, setting the business apart in a crowded market.

Business Plan
We plan to grow through customer acquisition, and nursery expansion. Currently looking at agricultural land in SW Florida to expand on. Plan is to begin growing the most popular trees and shrub plants in massive numbers, to help accommodate the rebuilding in the Naples/Ft Myers area, as well as all the massive amounts of current and future development occurring in the eastern parts of Naples. We have a 14 year old with such a passion for nature, plants, animals, etc., as well as a drive and passion to work. And work hard. Matthew has worked for a landscaping design company, and fell in love with it. He has a very supportive father (me) who will do anything for him, and help in any way I can. I am so proud of his drive to work. Especially at age 14. I originally incorporated him because of his age. And he wanted to work the landscaping job so badly, that I incorporated him to allow him to legally work (under the corporation). That action turned him into an instant entrepreneur. He’s very focused on making this business work, and believes he will be a millionaire by age 20. I, as his father, can’t provide too much more capital at this point. So, he needs financial help. I am an accountant by trade, and will be managing the money to make sure it is spent as indicated.
-
Self Identified Competition
There are too many competitors to count. But, Matthew’s charisma and work ethic will beat them all. He will do the jobs right. He’s a perfectionist. He will always make his customers happy.
