Renya Group Home Foundation Inc. | Application Preview
The Renya Group Home Foundation Inc. is seeking government grants to purchase land and develop a campus for children aging out of foster care who need independent living services. The organization aims to fill a significant service gap in the community and expand its model nationally.
Although the foundation has operated since 2003, it has faced ongoing financial challenges, often ending the year near break-even or in debt. CEO Richard Charlemon is dedicated to the mission but acknowledges that financial stability is crucial for implementing a long-term vision of creating a Reyna Group Neighborhood and expanding their services. The immediate goal is to raise sufficient funds over the next five years to maintain current services while providing children with "normal childhood experiences."
Renya Group Home focuses on assisting children with Autism and developmental disabilities aged 3 to 17, having helped over 500 children in foster care since its inception. The organization recently achieved a milestone by successfully facilitating the adoption of 13 children. It prides itself on its compassionate approach and has been recognized with the 211 Non-Profit Rising Star Award.
In a landscape with limited providers for children with developmental disabilities requiring residential care, Renya Group Home often collaborates with other organizations rather than competing directly. Partnerships with groups such as JAFCO and Henderson Behavioral Health create a supportive network for addressing the needs of vulnerable youth.
The organization expresses optimism for future funding and collaboration, highlighting its commitment to improving the lives of children with special needs.

Business Plan
Although RGH has been active since 2003, the organization is in the midst of serious financial difficulty. It concludes almost every year either breaking even or in the red. RGH’s CEO, Richard Charlemon, is a passionate leader with visions of grandeur backed by a big heart. But, before RGH can Strategically Plan for Richards long- term vision of a Reyna Group Neighborhood and expanded programs, it needs to raise sufficient funds over the next five years so that the organization can sustain its current level of services and achieve its short-term vision of providing its recipients with “normal childhood experiences”. We are a community based residential group home organization that enables children with Autism in becoming more independent within their community. REYNA serves children in foster care with developmental disabilities from ages 3-17 and since its inception 14 years ago, has met the needs of more than 500 children with special needs in foster care. Recently we broke a record with assisted 13 children get adopted across our country. Nowhere will you find an organization providing our level of kindness, caring and support for children with special needs. We were honored to receive the 211 Non-Profit Rising Star Award and looking forward to building on that.

Self Identified Competition
children and young adults with developmental disabilities that need such rehabilitation services in a residential setting, there are not enough providers out there," CEO of RGH, Richard Charlemon. Hence, if RGH gets a referral that is not the right fit, they will pass the referral along to a "competitor" in hopes the other organization will be a better fit. In fact, organizations, most would refer to as competitors, meet with Reyna Group Home monthly to discuss lots of topics related to the field. One such organization is called JAFCO. Their mission is to care for abused, neglected, and at-risk children as well as those with developmental disabilities in the Jewish community and to work in partnership with families and the entire community. Other such organizations at RGH’s table are: Henderson Behavioral Health, Devereux, Children First Community, Citrus Health, Kid Inc., Therapeutic Solution, SOS Children’s Village. Attached, you will find info about me and video content on our organization. I look forward to hearing from you and with all best regards. https://youtu.be/6scS4vytiVs
