Mind Your Mentality, LLC is seeking government grants to establish a behavioral health clinic. The funds will be allocated for purchasing office space, acquiring office supplies, hiring staff, setting up payroll, credentialing providers, conducting background checks, and other essential start-up expenses.
The business strategy focuses on addressing community needs, especially in light of significant waiting lists for behavioral health services nationwide. With plans to expand and open additional clinics, the company aims to enhance access to mental health care across the country.
As a veteran-owned initiative, the application emphasizes the pressing need for improved behavioral health services, particularly in underserved areas. Mind Your Mentality is committed to fostering a sustainable business model that supports growth while providing essential services.
Competitively, the clinic faces established organizations like Pennyroyal Center, Western State Mental Health Institution, and Mountain Comprehensive, each offering various mental health services. However, Mind Your Mentality differentiates itself by embracing growth opportunities, aspiring to provide standardized behavioral health services across states, and focusing on working with children and families, a demographic often overlooked by competitors. The plan includes establishing clinics in rural areas to address service gaps in those communities.

Self Identified Competition
Pennyroyal Center, Western State Mental Health Institution, and Mountain Comprehensive. Pennyroyal has roughly 150 centers located across the state of Kentucky providing a wide range of services. Western State Mental Health Institution provides inpatient hospitalization for mental health patients. Mountain Comprehensive is a local program that has providers who perform mainly telehealth services and provide services to local schools. We are different from our competitors due because of the growth opportunities we are willing to take. Although each state has different laws regarding behavioral health, we intend to grow across the nation and provide behavioral health in a standard form. We intend to offer opportunities for future students to become providers in the field, and we aim to work with children and families. Many institutions do not work with children and families. We also aim to place clinics in rural areas to fill the gap in services missing in those areas.
