AB Global LLC 92-0925077 | Government Grant Application

AB Global LLC | Application Preview

AB Global LLC is seeking government grants to cover essential startup costs for their Big Frog franchise, encompassing expenses like franchise licenses, leasehold improvements, training, inventory, hiring, equipment, advertising, and working capital. The franchise will leverage national e-commerce and marketing strategies to drive online traffic to their physical store. As a veteran with disabilities, the owner, Andrew Bird, emphasizes strong community ties and the commitment to excellent customer service to foster customer loyalty.

Andrew Bird's extensive background as a senior consultant, business analyst, and project manager with reputable organizations positions him well for leading this venture. His experience in business transformation, cost reduction, and team development will greatly benefit the operations of Big Frog. He plans to personally manage the store, ensuring hands-on leadership to realize his ambitious goals.

In terms of competition, while established brands like Custom Ink and Printful dominate the custom t-shirt market, Big Frog aims to differentiate itself through its national presence, customer service, and the capability to deliver customized products quickly. The franchise foresees generating annual revenues exceeding $450,000, supported by identified market gaps and client needs.

The funding request emphasizes the advantage of operating as a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, which aligns with priority funding areas. Overall, with a solid business plan, a focus on customer satisfaction, and a competitive edge in execution speed, AB Global LLC is well-prepared to establish its Big Frog franchise in Rockville.

  • Business Plan

The Big Frog franchise will be support by a national e-commerce and marketing and advertising and will funnel online traffic to the store. Because of my veteran status, disabilities, and involvement in the community and other business, improving and retaining customer business is something that will come from great customer service. Mr. Bird is a senior consultant who believes that in both the public and private sectors, success is achieved through pragmatic approaches to problem solving and development of everyone around him. Having been an experienced Business Analyst and Project Manager for DoJ, DoD, Federated Hermes, and Capital One – his well-rounded business experience is perfect for Big Frog. He is quite experienced in delivering advisory leadership for customers' business transformation, cost-cutting, risk-reduction, annual planning, development revival, and profit-growth initiatives. Dynamic team coaching and mentoring have added to his leadership abilities to hasten the completion of projects and continual improvement. With experiences in the military, business sector, and public sectors, Andrew has served high-profile clients such as Capital One, Martek Global Services Inc., and AE Strategies, along with having intimate professional stints in the Department of Justice and the Department of Defense. Andrew Bird is also a physically-challenged veteran who is passionate about starting his own Big Frog storefront. He has a large network of communities and businesses that have the need for custom t-shirts that he can develop as clients. Andrew is already in the works with developing custom garments for a rock band based out of Maryland, which goes by the name Method of Friction. He has already reached a verbal agreement with the band to develop their custom t-shirts while they’re on tour every few months. Being capable of managing such connections and deals, as well as reaching out for government or private contracts with various companies to further grow the market of the Big Frog Rockville, are some of the immediate plans which Andrew has already set in place to ensure the success of this upcoming project. Moreover, Andrew Bird, in an effort to be true to his goal of turning this venture into a success story, wishes to be the Store Manager himself so that he can oversee the execution and bring the hard work to its actual fruition with firsthand involvement. His dedication to this project is as inspirational as it is goal oriented. Mr. Bird’s continued efforts in being an evolved entrepreneur have increased his efficacy throughout his career. On top of that, some of his administrative qualities and prior expertise serve as proof of confidence to see this plan through towards its end goal. There’s simply no denying his competence in running this franchise with abilities such as identifying market gaps and clients’ needs and having a collaborative personality throughout his professional career.

  • Self Identified Competition

Competitor Analysis Even though the stores in the surrounding areas will have different order capacities and facilities than Big Frog, we may still look at some of the well-known custom t-shirt brands in the Washington, DC, metro area. CUSTOM INK Custom Ink is a household name in the national custom t-shirts industry, and they have running operations in Washington, DC as well. Although most products of Custom Ink are similar to Big Frog, like the free consultation session. However, they’ve gained a name for themselves in the fundraising niche and work heavily with organizations to create custom designs in that target market, even though they can streamline most of the work that our brand represents. That being said, the government contracts and specific targeting of the corporate sector can give us an edge over them in the long run. Company size: 1,001-5,000 employees Headquarters: Fairfax, VA Specialties: Ecommerce, internet retailer, mass customization, on-demand printing, t-shirt printing, screen printing, digital printing, embroidery, and custom apparel PRINTFUL This company mostly has prominence as an online custom t-shirt store. They are based out of California but cater to orders from clients all over the country. Printful is not the traditional next-door garments business establishment as it might give heed to having a physical presence in every major state but rather their niche has been created as a create-and-sell platform for entrepreneurs to not only make t-shirts through them but also drop ship those articles straight from Printful. Company size: 1,001-5,000 employees Headquarters: Charlotte, NC Founded: 2013 Specialties: Print on demand, Sublimation Printing, Direct to Garment Printing, Ecommerce, and Warehousing Local Competitors Color Plus Print, Planet Cotton, and NS2 T-Shirts are some of the regional names within the vicinity of the Rockville franchise. Although these outlets have been successfully operating in the area, the standout point against these brands for Big Frog is to have a nationwide presence and strong expertise to back the brand’s feasibility within the market. The financial and experiential backing of the Rockville storefront would be enough to give competition to such names in the local custom t-shirts market by securing big corporate clients and landing government contracts. After thoroughly assessing the conditions in the custom t-shirts sector of Washington. Brand estimates have amounted to the franchise gathering an average store revenue of $571,410 which would leave the storefront with making over $450,000. The SWOT analysis in my Business Plan is very extensive however, the support of an established franchise that has weathered and endured and thrived through touch economies with systematic customer service, design, and production methodologies combined with the financial savings of being a service disabled veteran small owned business in a priority funding area is key. Being able to turn a customers idea from design to production to product in hand in 24 hours is not possible in local or national service. My Big Frog location will.
