Marketing efforts include local advertising, flyer distribution, and community engagement to build a client base.
The application's appeal for funding emphasizes the owner's motivation to educate and empower individuals to lead healthier lives through Pilates. Personal inspiration stems from becoming a mother, motivating a commitment to hard work and community support for her daughter's future. While facing competition from yoga studios and fitness centers, the unique collaboration with fellow Pilates instructors and the owner's background in physical therapy and distance running provide a competitive advantage, catering to clients’ health and wellness needs with expertise and personal experience.

Business Plan
I plan to grow my business gradually over the next five years. My goal is to grow to the point of no longer working my current job as a physical therapist in the clinic 30+ hours per week. My business is in a small town. Therefore, I will rely on developing professional relationships with clients, other business owners, and community members to spread the word about my successful business. Additional marketing techniques currently implemented to help me grow my clientele include posting of flyers at local businesses, donating gift certificates for community events, local newspaper advertisement, and directly contacting organizations with potential clients. The primary reason for investors to invest in me is because I am motivated to carry out the mission of Proactive Pilates LLC; to educate, instruct, and encourage those taking a proactive approach to a healthy lifestyle through teaching Pilates classes. I currently work as a physical therapist in a private practice clinic. I see too many people who are in pain with a decreased quality of life because of orthopedic issues that can, to some degree, be prevented. I want to help people avoid these painful interruptions in their lives so they can continue to carry out their life's mission. The source of my motivation to help others changed about 11 months ago when I became a mother to a beautiful baby girl. I want to exemplify hard work, determination, persistence, and generosity in everything that I do for my daughter. I am willing to work and sacrifice so that I may provide for her physical, emotional, and spiritual needs during this crucial part of her life.

Self Identified Competition
I am grateful to be working with three other women (each with their own Pilates business) under one roof. We are the only Pilates studio in the small town. Our direct competitors are local yoga studios and fitness centers. I believe that my expertise and experience as a physical therapist, elite distance runner, and new mom offers more precise and thorough exercise classes to help people attain their health and wellness goals.
