Flourishing floor installations LLC | Application Preview
Flourishing Floor Installations LLC is seeking government grants to support its operations during a transitional period as the owner manages both large commercial and residential projects. The funding would primarily address immediate needs for materials, labor costs, and personal expenses until these projects are complete and the business stabilizes. The owner aims to use the funds for essential expenses such as workers’ compensation, liability insurance, and equipment for a significant demolition project.
The company operates with a hands-on business model, focusing on training subcontractors and building a reputation as a woman-owned business in a traditionally male-dominated field. The owner highlights her determination to overcome industry stereotypes and challenges, acknowledging that success in this male-centric sector requires resilience. She has already gained recognition for her work, including securing a notable contract with an Elk Lodge based on a thorough bid presentation that impressed members.
Flourishing Floor Installations faces competition from larger companies like Home Depot and other well-known suppliers, but the owner believes her personalized service and dedication to quality set her apart. Emphasizing her commitment to delivering exceptional results, the owner is eager to leverage the grant to not only stabilize her business but also uplift those who depend on her for work. The application underscores her determination to succeed and foster opportunities for others in the industry, particularly women in construction, framing the request for funding as an investment in a passionate entrepreneur dedicated to excellence.

Business Plan
I plan on using the money for Workmen’s Comp. my insurance liability renewal and also for commercial auto insurance I plan on building commercial jobs and either having employees or subcontractors help me with them I already have one already and I also have residential jobs I’m doing right now have subcontractors asked me for work all the time which I can then divvy out jobs and have them help me with them I am completely hands-on with all my installs but I intend to grow with having different crews for different types of flooring and training them really growing my business that way I’m becoming well known in the neighborhood as a woman owned flooring busines who is a general contractor. That can do most basic remodels and many of the flooring installations and repairs I am a determined person who just happens to be a female in construction and have faced many challenges that I can only assume often is because of the fact that we still face equality challenges in our society where woman often are stereotyped not to be suited in the construction labor force, and assume often I am not being taken seriously by many leads due to being a Younger female managing my company. None the less , I still am driven (maybe even more so being treated as if I can’t be successful by some) and will no matter what grant or not push myself to succeed as a business owner as a floor installer/general contractor. I already have 5 or more individuals who come to me to seek work and leadership in projects and have successfully led us all In residential and commercial projects. If I could jsut get through this challeneging time starting up and get this elk lodge completed and many of these residential projects I know I will be stable enough to keep growing from there. The problem I’m facing is, I have labor cost, some material cost, and not to mention personal bills that I jsut can’t afford yet and I need to pay for my workman’s comp and my labor in order to succeed at this big commercial job, my advertising brought to me. The elk lodge president found me on my Facebook advertising and asked me to bid on the project and out of all the contractors said I was the most thorough , responsive , and transparent In my bid , by collecting all my data well, verifying it, and explained it with the best presentation that over 100 members at this elk lodge all the way to the grand lodge chose my company to handle this project and I am so excited and so nervous all at once I just don’t want to fail. I jsut need a little bit of help getting there. Please consider my company , and see my determination and my planning as a good reason to see your investment as a positive strive for people (female especially ) everywhere that anyone can be successful if they work hard enough. I will continue to grow and use the funds for everything needing to show my company is the best choice to invest in because not a dollar will be used unwisely and will make every penny count in the most productive way I can to be successful, not just for me, but for all the other installers that are now depending on me to provide them work, their families depending on me for their income, and the elk lodge depending on me to make it happen and be everything We said we will be as contractors for their projects. Failure is not an option, I know I can do this, please give me a chance and let me show everyone they can count on me to take everyone depending on me that I am solid and can produce the complete project, the income for their families , the beautiful remodel I’ll produce, and show woman and everyone who’s pushing themselves to the limits to never give up and it will work out

Self Identified Competition
My competition is larger flooring supplies , like Home Depot, paulsons, sustainable, modern flooring, they have huge names and everyone goes to them because they don’t know me yet and don’t know that they don’t have to go to those huge names and they can find someone like me with a small business , who’s reasonably priced, and is genuinely caring and really looks out for my customers. My competition is large business that sub out all their work , I am an owner you will see at every install hands on , on my knees installing the floor side by side with installers who seek leadership through me. I am a picky detailed installer and my work is verified through the BBB and through my customers yiu can see reviews by googling my business name and seeing what their experience was with my company I am a small company, woman owned, an owner that is hands on, does all her own estimates and installs . I am the face of the company and the one you will see and hear when you call and schedule with me for your projects
