Dos Chicas Boutique | Application Preview
Dos Chicas Boutique is seeking government grant funding to enhance its operations and better serve its community. The funds will primarily be used to acquire the latest clothing trends and expand product offerings, particularly by introducing boots, which customers have expressed interest in. The rising costs of shipping and clothing due to inflation have hindered the boutique's ability to meet customer demands.
The business plans to relocate to a larger space to accommodate its growth and to potentially invite other small businesses to collaborate through markets, fostering community support. The owner emphasizes the boutique's commitment to the community, highlighting a desire to resume contributions to local events and support for students in need.
While recognizing larger retailers like Cavenders and Boot Barn, the owner sees Dos Chicas Boutique's competitive advantage in its unique community-focused approach. The boutique has made a positive impact locally and aims to continue doing so, despite the challenges posed by being a small business in a competitive landscape.

Funding Usage
These funds would be used to purchase the latest clothing trends that are out there and will sell and help us get back on our feet. We also wanted to bring in boots into our store and don't have the funds for that. Customers are asking for items we cannot get. The inflation has raised all our shipping and clothing costs.

Business Plan
My plan is to get into a bigger space because we are growing out of our current one. We hope to get boots in. The brand we chose have a great price margin and will bring in more customers. I also plan on moving into a space where I can have other small businesses come and have small markets with us to also help them grow as well. We are very involved in our community and we haven't been able to donate or be apart of any upcoming events or even as little as sponsoring our local students with school and sports. So with these funds I also plan on helping other families just as we always would when we were doing great with our business.

Self Identified Competition
I really don't consider anyone my competitor as I always try to be different and not get in anyones way. But if I had to name one it would probably be Cavenders and Boot Barn. Both are huge retail stores. We are a small business that are struggling right now due to inflation. My competitors are big corporate companies. They are nationwide and have so many stores. All I have is my one small business to support my three children. My boutique has really made an impact in our community and will continue too. God willing
