Bakers Kidz Gym LLC / DBA GO! Kids Gym | Application Preview
Bakers Kidz Gym LLC, operating as GO! Kids Gym, is seeking government grants primarily to cover back rent to avoid eviction and closure, identifying this as a critical need for the community it serves ($20,000 of the requested funds). Additional funding will be used for new water fountains ($1,000), changing tables in bathrooms ($400), and updating safety and sanitation of gym equipment ($1,000).
The business plan outlines a vision for expanding to a larger facility within five years, with intentions to offer more events, classes, and equipment for children. The application emphasizes the positive impact the gym has on children’s physical and mental health, particularly for those with disabilities, by providing a safe and fun environment that encourages activity and social interaction.
GO! Kids Gym asserts its value to the community, helping to combat the trend of inactive lifestyles influenced by technology. The gym is especially praised for its environment, which allows children, including those with autism or other developmental delays, to play and grow without judgment. It also offers caregivers a chance for social interaction while watching over their children.
In terms of competition, GO! Kids Gym distinguishes itself from local rivals like PE 101, Romp N Roll, and Bounce U through its clean, inviting space, flexible payment options, and a focus on an open gym format. The owner-operated model fosters a family-like atmosphere that prioritizes customer satisfaction and continual improvement, setting the business apart from larger franchises.

Funding Usage
I would love to be able to pay the back rent I owe to keep from being evicted and having to close down our facility. Too many families benefit from us to have us close our doors. This would account for a majority of the proposed grant ($20,000 of it). Then I would plan to use $1000 for new water fountains for our kids the come into our gym to play as they are running and sweating and need reliable water fountains to drink from. $400 dollars I would like to provide changing tables in each bathroom as we currently only have a free standing one out side of the bathrooms for parents/ caregivers to use. We have some equipment that could use updated that i would use the $1,000 for. We want our equipment to be safe and sanitary so kids can continue to enjoy staying active in a clean and safe facility.

Business Plan
In the next five years I hope too have an even bigger facility to accommodate more families and interest of the little ones who come in. By this point I am hoping to not be in such a hole and to be offering even more events, classes, and pay equipment to the little ones that come in. Investors should invest in GO! Kids Gym because we do great things for so many different children in the community. We keeps kids active in a world that has become over run with electronics and screen time. We help kids with physical and mental disabilities just by having our open play time. We have children who have learned to jump and physically progress leaps and bounds through coming to our open gym times in addition to their PT and OT they already do. Although we do not offer medically guided physical therapy we offer fun play time that includes many of the exercise techniques used in a PT or OT setting but they have having fun while doing them. We have several kids that come into our facility with autism or some other sort of mental delays and this has helped to get them interacting with other kids and we provide a judgement free zone for them to play, grow, and be themselves. Parents, nannies, and other caregivers love our facility because it is very open and you can easily watch your children due to the way our facility is set up. We not only help children to get exercise and social interaction, but we offer adults the chance to leave the house and bring their kids to play with other kids while getting the adult interaction they need. Our gym benefits kids and families so much with physical, mental, and emotional growth we need to do everything we can to stay actively in business and keep bettering ourselves for the communities sake.

Self Identified Competition
Our number one competitor is PE 101. They are located not far and have been in business a very long time. We offer a cleaner brighter facility and parents appreciate that. We also take credit cards unlike them which makes things very convenient in a world where we rarely sue cash anymore. Our second competitor is Romp N Roll. They are a franchise located more south west than us and do a lot of the same things, but offer less open gym times. They are more class based and are more expensive. They are also geared towards ages 0-5, where as we are ages 0-8. Bounce U would be our third competitor as they offer birthday party packages like we do. They are a facility with inflatables but they offer great birthday packages and get a lot of income from them. Our business is different form our competitors in that we are owner ran and operated. We offer a clean and safe facility with an open layout that is easy to watch children play in. We are a bright and inviting facility that parents enjoy coming to. We offer affordable prices and convenient open gym times. We treat our customers as family and welcome then. We are always trying to better our business.
