Zen Boba | Application Preview
Zen Boba is seeking government grants to support the hiring of employees and to acquire inventory for the upcoming season. The business faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, which hindered profitability, and now aims to rebound stronger.
The business plan outlines ambitious growth, with a goal of establishing two brick-and-mortar locations within the next five years. These stores will not only serve the community but also create job opportunities for local residents, fostering an environment where they can develop their own business aspirations.
The grant funding is justified by a healthy profit margin of over $4.00 per cup, indicating that with the new stores, revenue potential for Zen Boba could increase significantly.
Zen Boba faces competition from local Asian sit-down restaurants and a mall boutique about 30 minutes away, as well as from Starbucks, which does not offer the same niche products. The company's competitive advantage lies in its commitment to quality and on-site production of fresh products. By focusing on local distribution, Zen Boba aims to enhance brand awareness and create a family-friendly atmosphere. Additionally, being veteran-owned adds to their unique appeal and community connection.
