Dr. Fahrenheit Inc. 01-0686165 | Government Grant Application

Dr. Fahrenheit Inc. | Application Preview

Dr. Fahrenheit Inc. is applying for government grants to support its operations until business activity picks up in Spring 2023. The funding will primarily go towards payroll, automobile expenses, and the purchase of equipment or parts.

Established in 2005, Dr. Fahrenheit has experienced both success and challenges, particularly following a motorcycle accident involving the owner in 2018 that temporarily halted operations. The business resumed in 2021 and has seen improvement, but is now facing financial difficulties. The hiring of an experienced office manager in March 2022 has been beneficial. She brought valuable customer relationships from her previous job, which ceased operations after the owner passed away in late 2021. Despite this progress, paying both her salary and that of a new service technician has been challenging.

The application highlights the company’s dedication to growth and its investment in skilled personnel, which is crucial for navigating the aftermath of past hardships. Dr. Fahrenheit believes there is ample business opportunity in north Georgia, fostering a mindset of collaboration within the community.

With a focus on customer service, the team includes knowledgeable staff committed to aiding seniors and veterans who may struggle with fixed incomes. They proactively address minor needs for these individuals, which underscores their commitment to community engagement. Overall, the company aims to build a warm, supportive environment that attracts top talent and enhances business growth.

  • Business Plan

Dr. Fahrenheit Inc. has been in business since 2005. The business has always thrived until the owner was involved in a motorcycle wreck in 2018. At this time the business was put on hold until he was better. We resumed business in 2021 and have been doing really well but are struggling to keep up. We hired an office manager in March of 2022 who has over 13 years' experience in the HVAC business and has proved to be an asset. She worked for the same company for 13 years and brought many of her customers with her as the owner of the business she was working for passed away in December of 2021. It is a true struggle to pay her wages as well as the new service tech we had to hire to keep up with the business. Dr. Fahrenheit Inc. has worked very hard since being in business in 2005 as a husband-and-wife team. We are investing in people who have experience and can help us grow our business. We could really use another employee but cannot get over the tough times we encountered since the accident shut us down for a couple of years. We truly care about our company and creating an environment where only the best will want to work with us.

  • Self Identified Competition

We are in north Georgia and there is so much work that we feel there is enough business for us all. Collaboration over competition is what we have learned by getting involved in the community and attending business gatherings in the cities that we service. We have two ladies in our office with years of experience that are truly dedicated to customer service and running our company. They enjoy getting out in the community and meeting new people that can help us grow our business. We understand that a lot of seniors and veterans struggle with living on a fixed income, and we do everything we can to lessen their burdens. We will even offer to do little things extra such as change a light bulb or take out the trash if we see a need from someone living alone and is disabled. The service technician is young and very eager to help us grow.
