Gadz Gaming | Application Preview
Gadz Gaming is seeking government grant funding to support various aspects of its business, including renovations, lease costs, employee wages, equipment, utilities, and marketing efforts. The funds will also assist in sponsoring local schools and facilitating promotional events, including possible celebrity guest appearances to enhance marketing initiatives.
The business plan focuses on collaborating with local schools to establish esports clubs and competitive teams, using the gaming store as a hub for practice and development. This initiative aims to be the first of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, with the closest competitor located in Reno, Nevada. The target market includes not only local schools but also a broader audience across Oregon and Washington, capitalizing on the rapid growth of the esports industry, currently valued at about $1 billion, with recognition as a varsity sport and potential Olympic inclusion.
The application highlights the experience of the owner, who has been involved in gaming for approximately 40 years and is backed by a capable management team with a strong operational background. The proposal emphasizes the lack of direct competition in the area, particularly for a business model that caters specifically to esports. Proximity to major brands like Nike and the hometown of Intel further solidify the strategic advantages of the chosen location, supported by demographic studies indicating its suitability.
Overall, the competitive edge lies in the unique offering of Contender Esports, which operates in an emerging market with minimal similar establishments, positioning it favorably for success in the growing esports landscape.

Business Plan
I will talk with all schools in the area at first, encouraging schools to start esports clubs and possible teams to have school compete with each other. Using the store as a location for teams to gather, practice and develop into competitive teams. This location will be the first in the Pacific Northwest (closest being in Reno, Nevada). Will market to the entire state and possibly growing to more strategic locations around Oregon and Washington. Esports is growing at an insane rate (currently about a $1 Billion industry) and is now a Varsity Sport as well as going to be in the Olympics. I have been involved in gaming for about 40 years. I have a great team already to run this store as well as many years of award winning management including management in operations. Nothing in the area that competes with this line of business. Local with Nike who also sponsors all facets of esports and in the home town of Intel. Perfect location already chosen (demographic studies done and proven to be perfect)
-
Self Identified Competition
No competitors in the area.. at least nothing like this Nothing in this area.. Contender Esports has very little competition world wide as most locations like this are maybe 1 or 2. Which puts Contender Esports way ahead due to the tournaments being done within the 50,000+ locations already established
